Data Table

Just a thought, but it would seem to me that having an overall data table for structures would be handy. One example being, I'd enjoy being a newer player and being able to know that the next level of solar plant I build will provide X amount of energy.

The overall part of that might be a side by side dropdown or something to that effect.

Okay, so mabey the solar plant was a bad example. Better example might be:

Shipyard:

Unit--------------------Build Time
Small Cargo----------XX:XX:XX
Light Fighter----------XX:XX:XX

ect...


Just having even a link to a table where all the information is located would be handy in my opinion, as it would allow players to plan out thier build list and achieve the type of empire they desire without fumbling around for the information.

If you have a link like what you are suggesting, it would be very long. You have to factor in each level of shipyard and nanite factory on each different level. If you want to have that many pages, fill free to go for it.

The build time is different.

I know at one point there were some players who figured out how the SY improved building times (*cough* SlothandIsta *cough*) but I think the knowledge was lost

Not lost, it's all here!

Based off the formula of another game, but adapted and tested by yours truly, this is the equation for ship and defense build times (you can easily figure out what upgrading your shipyard will do from this):

T x 3600 = Time in seconds to build a ship or defense unit, ZE will round it to the nearest whole second.

Where T = (metal cost + crystal cost) / (2500 x (1 + Shipyard Level) x (2 ^ Nanite Factory Level) x 4)

That's for Xtreme Universe only though, and I'm also pretty sure if you replace 'Shipyard Level' with 'Robot Factory Level', the same equation works for buildings. Not tested though, so don't hold me to it. :P

An easier way that is probably the same thing is shipyard/robot factory decreases time needed by old level over new level. So 4 to 5 would make a building take 4/5=80% as long to make.

And why would you say 2500 X 4 instead of just 10000 in that equation?

Just because it makes it easier to modify the equation for universe speed.
