70 % rebuild of Defenders fleet

As we all know,
a Fleet Crash can be devastating and sends a large amount of players into vac mode,
most of them don't return,
:o

Now; in no way am I defending "Poor Sportsmanship"
nor a player that throws a hissy when he comes out on the wrong side of a Fleet Crash

Its a war game, there has to be a winner and a looser

we already have an approx. 70 % +/- rebuild of planetary defenses after an attack,
I suggest also an auto rebuild of a defenders fleet after a "Fleet Crash"
after 24 hours the defenders losses are auto-rebuilt by the Game
same as planetary defenses,
just takes 24 hours,

As a Fleeter,
you just crashed a fleet,
harvested a goodly sized DF
bashed some defenses,
raided most of his Resources
with a couple of follow up hits,,,,,,,

Hey, great hit, good profits

but he is still in the Game,
and he still has a "Fleet"


Now; The Fleeters should love that
Your Opponent still has a Fleet, 30 % +/- smaller, but he still has one
if your opponent was careless enough to loose his fleet the 1st time,
chances are you will get another shot at him again in a few days
and crash him again

You gotta love it

I see 2 advantages
#1:
A mistake, a Bad Fleet Save, a lost internet connection
or -- what ever the reason,
a fleet crash doesn't just devastate a players acct.
he is still in the game

#2:
He still has a Fleet for u to hunt,
slightly smaller;
but still a target


I personally had rather Hunt Fleets and be hunted by other players
-- than --
just farm "Fat Cow inactives

if Zorg continues to delete the inactive farms,
there won't even be that left

fleet: 100% profit: 0%
destroy fleet
fleet: 70% profit 60% (-deut)
destroy again
fleet: 49% profit 60% + 42% (-deut)
...
fleet 0% profit 200% (-deut)

after a quick simulation, the profit tends towards 200% of the defenders original fleet in raw resources. (completely ignoring deut in attacking and ship construction)

in other words, if i get my fleet destroyed daily but collect the df, then after 2 days the df matches my fleet and i still have half of it left.


i like the idea, but it needs adjusting.

if i were to feed that back into the system...
fleet 100% -> destroy, collect
next day
fleet 70% + 60% -> destroy, collect

the daily growth rate stands to be 30% assuming no deut is used in ships. (i.e. light fighters and battleships)

A good idea, but I think the percentages would need a tweak. If, keeping it as realistic as possible, resources are needed to build a fleet. That fleet gets trashed, the winner takes the spoils, where would the rebuilt fleets resources come from? Out of thin air? I agree in principle that the loser should have some semblance of a fleet to "start again" with. But 70%? It is hard to put a reasonable figure on, but if we are talking percentages, how about 25% or even 33%, one third?

yes 25% is a great number but i think 1 time per account should be a limit
