Here is the discussion topic regard the Fleeters Special unit: Predator
Share your ideas here. We are interested in replies with reasoning.

Here is the initial design:

Predator Basic Details

Fuel Consumption (Deuterium) 500

RF against Light Fighter 10
RF against Cruiser 6
RF against Bomber 6
RF against BattleCruiser 6
RF against Destroyer 6
RF against LG 4

The design is a result for our willingness to provide an all-around ship to the hands of a fleeter. This ship is cheap in compare to all middle ships, receives rapid fire from none and has mediocre to good rf ratings towards all middle ships.

Its speed is deemed very good. It has no RF to RIP because in this case we would cancel the importance of LG. Since LGs already have many enemies, we have decided to only add a small RF rating against them. It does not have a RF ratings towards battleship and Heavy fighter. For Battleship the reason is that we want to make sure that this ship will not substitute Battlecruiser. And indeed fleeters may still find the need to build their fleets with battlecruisers as opponents are expected to create them to balance the threat from Predators.

Fuel consumption is also kept to low and alongside with the 10% cheaper consumption for Fleeter it is expected to give fewer fuel headaches.

Perhaps fleeters will find little importance to build Destroyers as this ship is in fact a much improved version of Destroyer. Still destroyer is expected to be used by all the rest so it does not pose as a big problem.

I could definately see in the future, that this will replace the Lunar Guardian, and it will be the main ship. You need to make sure that it has rapid fire against it. perhaps 5 RF from a Death Star and 7 RF from battleship. that way there is some balance to the ship.

It can't replace LG. LG remains the only ship with RF to RIPS.

LG rapid fire are too much weak against Death stars
its suposed to best ships againt DeathStars and it works as weakest against them

Perhaps you misunderstood. I meant it in a way that it will become the new dominant ship, and will need to have weaknesses.


I meant to replace the LG as a metaphor. When zorg implemented the Lunar Guardian, it became one of the most widely used ship. I believe the predator will take over that spot, and needs some sort of weakness

massacre, I replied as in metaphor. If one ship is going to "replace" this would be destroyer and not LG. Still,this is not a problem as it will be available to fleeters and the rest players will still need destroyers.
