Very old suggestion, and was about to be archived and forgotten. However, reading through it I found that everyone seemed to agree on some form or another that the basic theory was a good idea. Therefore, it needs evaluating (not to mention brain stormed considerably) to bring it up to modern universe standards.

There are several good ideas in here that can be built on by our much later knowledge, and the current state of the universes. Please discuss it sensibly so it can be dealt with. I'd love to see a lot of opinions and ideas on this one, it's one of those big ideas that cause a lot of controversy.

I agree with the carrier, but don't like the idea that ships take up cargo room. If ship classes like this are produced, then so should a separate space for the ships inside them, keeping the cargo hold AND the hanger bay.

As to the Heavy Cargo ship before, I believe that is being implemented as the Elite Cargo ship proposed by Zorg in part II of the current developing schedule.

The description of the Flagship sounds an awful lot like a combination of a Destroyer and ACS attack, so I don't think that needs to be acted on.

And a final thing, if we are getting into specialized ships like these, then I think classes need to be developed. I know there is the fighter class and the Cargo Class unspoken already, but the fleet isn't really divided into separate attributes. With these ships you would need a Carrier Class and a Rally Point Class.

Another thing, this might be wierd, but what is the carrier could act as a portable jumpgate. This would function by latching ships the the hull and using a lot of feul to travel faster for great distances. Just a suggestion, though.
