Xtreme was over 2 years old when they changed this, and frankly, it made the game boring.

If they can't protect themselves with 10k, what makes you think 100k points will help against players with several hundreds of thousands points in fleet only. The sooner they get crashed, sooner they will come to forums and try to learn from their mistakes. When they lose 5k points in fleet, they rebuild easily, but when they lose 50k, they quit.

There is a difference between 0 and 10k points. Last time I checked it was 10k points. :?

Yes it matters, and yes, I do think it's fair. The guy with 900k points had to break the 10k barrier eventually too, and there were stronger players than him who could crash him, but not everyone who passed the 10k limit got crashed.

Just fleet save and you will be safe.

I feel like building off my last post here. The 100k protection does make the game boring. The problem is, mines under 100k still have decent production. This gives players enough incentive to remain under 100k. When there was 10k player protection, the low production forced people to come out and play the real game. The more you move the protection limit up, the more percent of people will hide under the protection limit.

10k forces people to learn how to fleetsave. If you fleetsave, odds are you won't be attacked. To me, this suggestion just sounds like a bunch of whiners complaining that they're not smart enough to fleetsave properly.
