LF go free but of coarse big fleets like destroyers would have to pay they're own way as they are to big to be landed on anything at all..

i dont mind guys spending lots on big fleets without firepower though i'll have to say, especially if they are slow and will make a nice big debris pile.. lol

if the carriers work like mobile bases where would you park them? on empty planet slots or moon slots on anybody's planet?? all i know is if they show up on the map they'll be the biggest targets yet and will go down faster than they can be built.. lol ;)
If you read my post, i said nothing about it being a mobile base.

Do you know how strong Death Stars are right now? Add in Rapid-Fire and the ability to spit out tons of ships and they would be an absolute nightmare.
This brings to mind another idea that I had. There should only be a limited amount of deathstars in the zorg universe because if everyone would check the scoreboard you guys would see that this guy called whatthehell has SIX FREAKIN DEATH STARS. If we put a cap on it then we would be competing to destroy other peoples death stars and get one or more.

There are actually a decent few people with quite a bit more than 6... ;) And for a determined fleeter Deathstars aren't really as hard to take out as you might imagine. Later on in the universe people will begin making it a sport to hunt down and destroy Deathstars.

What do you mean by later on? :twisted:

And a note- whathehell is the owner of the most DSs of those who choose to have it posted on the scoreboard. I know of several players working on the mid to upper teens of DSs who try to keep the fact hidden (but have so far failed at it any way).

This is an awsome idea because space fighting games, do to the similarities between water and gravity, are naval games if you translate them back into modern day and planets are islands to which we use. We have destroyers (Real life destroyer,) Cruisers (Real life cruisers), Battle cruisers (same as cruisers I guess), Death Stars (Battle Ships) Light fighter, heavy fighters, and bombers, (all of our modern day jets and bombers), Recyclers (Scavengver ships) [Scavenger ships are ships that salage the wrecks of other ships for those who don't know], and espionage ships (satelites and such we use today) already in the game now. All we are missing is the best of the best in naval warfare, the carrier. I suggest adding to types of carriers. One regular and one super (Like today with regular carriers, Carriers like that of WW2 and super carriers like S.S George Bush). I believe if you add carriers, your light fighters should have the cargo capacity of 10 or 5 like the space probes so that they would become useless without carriers like modern day fighters. I also suggest adding a ship like a submarine similar to a bomber in nature, but it is super effective against the slower moving giant ships where as the bomber is super effective against ground defences. (Haven't thought about its stats because of lack of experience) The sumbarine probably a bad Idea b/c in large numbers, it could be deadly to a death star, but you could make it so it effective against everything but the Death Star do to the Death Star not taking the form of an actual ship like the cruiser.
