Same here but I also want to keep VM possible to use every time when I need it.
The best solution I heard so far was the 1 of Myrsee.
When someone recalls his fleet he won't be able to go in VM.

I am fine with Myrsee's idea, as I stated earlier in this post I don't think it will fix the problem we are talking about but I do think it will help. Just to restate it as I recall it was you can not go into Vacation Mode any time you have a fleet on a return mission. One point of clarification I would like to have, will this be only for return missions from an attack or will it also include transport missions that are on the way back?

One more thing Fish this didn't need bumped yet as it had only been a few hours since it had last had a post. If you want Zorg to read a post (or thread for that matter) you should instead send him a PM letting him know that you think it is worth reading.

What if V mode was limited? As is the minumum time of use is 48 hours. Make it so a player cannot leave thier account in vmode for longer than 30-45 days in a single year. Each time they log a vmode activation it just counts down off the clock, setting a point for the year time to activate. then from that point they have a total of 30-45 days vmode use before the system automatically kicks them back to normal.

seriously, who walks away from this for 2 1/2 months and expects everything to be peachy when they decide to finally come back to it?

i have hit vmode right about now.

my current fleet involves moon on it hence it is not traceable with lanx. My fleet is returning. so i do not have any way to prevent the return. I have involved a moon that would not be touched by possible attackers.

at this moment the emergency is the game is glitching. Following is the bug thread.

Moon FS

i cannot move any fleet from my planets. now if i are to be blocked from vmode cause my fleet is just returning and mind it as i say it again it is not traceable with lanx, i do not see why i would be prevented any chance of vmoding. if i was lanxed and locked yes in that case the fault is on my part. but as you can see i have sticked to the game rules and strategies that best protects my fleet.

i would like to add the following scenario also.

all my moons are being popped. the reason for vmoding is not that but the glitch. even with moons popped i could have salvaged everything i had and almost put the game at a stall same as vmode only defenses unguard from unprofitable hits. i do not see why would u agree on restricting v-moding for players whos fleet are safe.

this really just favors the fleeter, all of you who are supporting this really dont see the loop hole. a fleeter is gaining time on the planning as u fleet that is not lanxable is returning.

if u need more details of this particular scenario i will provide.

Spy this is exactly why it should be bought in. The fact we are chasing your fleet and popping your moons is an attack strategy. Why should we miss out on your return flight just because you want to VM coz you are being attacked.

Thank you Spy for clarifying the exact reason it should be changed. Enjoy your break.

@Fish, you are 1000% correct I support you to limit player hit the VM button while you attack the return fleet after caught by Phalanx, but if there is no attack mission on your fleet, player must able to hit the VM button anytime.
You disapointed because someone escape frm yr attack using VM button, so we limiting those kind of player to abuse VM feature. But don't punish everyone, I always Hit VM button while my fleet still in the air cause sometime I have an urgent call frm my office, If I wait my fleet back I lost my job, no job meaning I am quiting ZE.

Thank you Snave.

Myrsee came up with the perfect solution, you cant VM on a recall but you can if you have sent your fleet out. So if its on return then its just unlucky. But we are not stupid players you have rough ideas as to when you are going to be around.

I think the 'Unable to VM if the flying fleet is not attached to a moon' suggestion works better. Covers more loopholes and makes it fairer for both sides.
