so summing it up... its combines everyones IRN and distributes so everyone can research faster, and what they want seperately....a diffferent basis...but respectfully a good idea....no doubt a few flaws but nothing beta, admin, or us regular people couldnt work out.... im all for it, good pk

What's this talk of players researching more than one tech at a time? Even if you don't have IRN tech, researching something still ties up your whole empire's research labs. Also, if you share research times, wouldn't you have to share the same level of tech for everything? This just sounds like more of a giant account than alliance teamwork. I don't like this idea, sorry pk.

He's not saying everyone gets the tech. It just reduces the time it takes for one person to research something. The other players are just sacrificing their labs to help this one player reduce his research time.

I, too, like the idea, but am a bit pessimistic about the implementation possibilities.

Two concerns for exploitation leap out straight away:

1 - A player scaling the tech tree with unnatural speed, giving abilities that far exceed their relative strength. Achieving high research goals is supposed to take a long time.

2 - A player being potentially blocked out from all research as other members of his/her alliance are using the ARN and subsequently their allies labs.

I just really can't envision this idea being pruned enough to be balanced and needed enough to implement.

hmm if it is accessible at a much advanced level of techs with comptech 18 as requirement. and also energy tech 18. that fairly puts the users in a much advanced level right? at that stage with enough IRN it takes 4-5 days of research but with proper ARN it might get ur speed cut to hafl factor.

just saying it can be useful when u are at a much higher level at techs.
