Spy your not understanding the request at all and your two scenarios make no sense as to what im saying.
If you decide you want to FS and someone pops your moons and catches you on lanx, then its just unlucky. In this game you can defend yourself and yes there ar always stronger players around but thats why you FS cleverly.. You dont see better players getting caught. If you have strong players around you, you dont FS near them! Thats just a rookie error.
My game suggestion is:
You cant VMODE unless you are not building, Ship building, defence building, attacking, or FS'ing. You can only activate the button when you have no activity going on, bar resources as it would be a pain to 0% everything.
The only reason you Vmode if your fleet is in the air is 99% because your moons are popped, you poo yourself and hit the magic V button... Its stupid and should be changed!
Spy: For you information, i went into Vmode because i wanted a break from the game and everything was inactive before i hit the button. When you ar just having a break thats fine, Vmoding coz your getting attacked isnt!
Re: Vm while active
#12I have been thinking about what u were saying there. This sounds reasonable. I guess you notified a view there and i looked in the gap. As it seems we both agree that fleet activity if there is any v-moding should be blocked. I have posted the scenarios just to justify that the eminent threat cannot be quantified, so it is not possible if a player not working on anything is under threat or not.
moving away from that misunderstanding, I agree that if a player is showing activity (fleet on air/building in queue/research in progress/ship building) the vmode should be blocked.
on the other topic about being in inactivity, if u are inactive for more than seven days why would u v-mode after dude v-mode is supposed to let you keep the game at freeze where u have left it.

Re: Vm while active
#13WRONG. I vmed while my fleet(s - all 14 of them) were in the air because I was going on vacation and wasn't interested in waiting until my fleets got back for me to hit the button - as it was MUCH MORE CONVENIENT to push it right then. Thus - my fleet was in the air when I vmed for vacation, exactly what vm is "supposed" to be used for.TheLegendFishpond wrote:Spy your not understanding the request at all and your two scenarios make no sense as to what im saying.

There is also a 3rd reason for vming that nobody talks about - you just need a break. This is something I've taken multiple times just CUZ I NEED A BREAK, and one of these times happened to be after pk found my fleet and plopped a colony in one of my systems. This had nothing to do with him finding me (I actually found his colony after I vmed lol), I just needed a break from constantly FSing and worrying about my fleet and stuff like that. I believe my fleet was in the air at this point too, so why would it be a problem for someone to just randomly say I need a break and I need one now.
Fishpond I dare you to try looking at things from a different point of view from your own. I dare you.

#14I FS for a week some times and I can't wait for a week till my fleet lands so I can VM.
Also, there are some research and building times that take days so you can't just always wait till that is finished before you VM.
There are too many holes in this suggestion for it to be succeeded.
You must not punish those who play fair, but its also impossible to fix it a way that its reasonable or not for allowing some one to VM.

Re: Vm while active
#15Agreed on Jedi's and knight's point of view partly. yes vmode should be there. do not take it away from us.
But there is a work around.
Shut down all ur mines and energy production. and fs to a farthest targest preferably from g9-g1 or g1-g9 at ur convenient speed.
with that u are keeping ur fleet safe. and u are not producing resources to be raided for. mind it you should have enough defense to safe keep whatever u gunna produce in that period.
Risk associated with that is, there are some players who likes to defense bash you for no reason. no profit but they would IPM for the lulz or you may have caused them to RAEG IPM you from ur previous raids.
For that you have to pay the price for not being in game to take care of it. in this way you fs good and keep ur fleet hidden. another risk is you might get all ur moon popped.
the risk of the game and the price u pay for being in vmode. evaluate it as u see fit.

#16Where are you going with those spy?
What fish has kept saying from the first part was to prevent players with "activity" to not be able to v mode. He never said remove the v mode option.

Re: Vm while active
#17Thank you Neo lol, at last someone with some understanding on the request, along with my boys
Jedi if you plan on Vmoding then why would you FS for 5 days first, you just wouldnt, thats a really pointless argument.
Almost every other game does the same, You have to show no activity before Vmoding. Zorg should 100% be the same and not have people hiding.

Re: Vm while active
#18I never said I agree with you.
Like jedi nad knight, I might also get some sudden calls so I have to go v mode. If my fleet was suppose to return in 2 hours, and I got a call, I won't be able to wait 2 hours.
A better option would be, even if I press V-mode while a fleet is on the air, it would only be activated when fleet lands.
I'm not sure if it can be done...

#19uhm to hide fleet points?Jedi if you plan on Vmoding then why would you FS for 5 days first, you just wouldnt, thats a really pointless argument.
Changing this would mean that people that want to vmode can never hide there fleet points.
I'm guessing thats what u want out of this
I mean fleetsaving for 5~7 days is easy for people that only play in weekends and want to vmode during the week.
and the whole lanx thing I dont get it if you send the attacks on both ends right away there is no way to escape with vmode anyway.
In the zorg universe, if you go to sleep expect to smell napalm in the morning.
Re: Vm while active
#20Its not always possible to send the attack when you are first on Lanx, As timings sometimes dont work.
If you FS properly you can avoid the Fleet rankings score board, and if you can only play on weekends, then bring your fleet down on sunday, along with buildings etc finished and then VM. If you cant play 24hrs a day then thats just unfortunate to those who work hard and play longer than others.
But then again we all know about you anyway.
