Well i am trying to work away of stopping players joining and leaving.
So lets work on a method together rather than just claim its a bad idea with no alternative?
Think of an alternative and lets work on something as a community rather than just firing blanks.
Zorg feels he needs to build more servers to encourage more players, we also need more ideas to keep players in all servers and encourage growth? So lets hear your ideas?

#12Perhaps we could combine ideas and schedule a reinforcement once a new player joins which will bring ships + resources. This way the new player will actually see them coming instead of not ever discovering them.

#13Obviously this is a good suggestion that needs refinement, but it does need implemented to an extent. Especially on servers that are 6 months old or more (Veterans would be way way ahead of this)
Face it, nobody wants to join a new server fresh after it is already old.. it is much harder to leave your mark when you're a damn sardine and the top 30 are massive sharks..

#14At least Fish is trying to come up with Idea's to get people to stay. Which is a great thing. But you have to remember most new players ask how to play....I dont think the ships and A lot of res should be used but maybe mines up and such to give them a boost. I honestly dont think most new players will stay on because of whats the point when they can join another new coming server. Extreme will die more and more if we dont get new players to STAY!

#15personally i think Fish is on to something with the fundamental concept. The application just needs to be refined. I agree with Reject, perhaps a few mines to give them a little production will help motivate them

#16If they start off with a moon it makes the game a bit, I dunno, boring. The thrill of getting a moon is second only to wasting someone, and is a highlight in the game that shouldn't just be given to a person. Still everything else seems like a good idea

#17getting moons through moon shots is a game feature. giving free moons just takes that part of the learning away from the players also the importance of correct fsing and importance of it.

#20Well it was a suggestion... Not a week then a month, or so and maybe the reason no one gets moons in the first week is because they don't have improved chance's.
