Personally I don't agree with this. If you are able to create your own moons, I think you should be able to do it quickly, at roughly the same speed as other players can create moons for you. Currently this is the speed of espionage probes. This would even the playing field a bit for solo players and solo fleeters in the way that really slow high cost moonshot ships would not.neoshagrath wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2017 3:32 amYou should be able to create your own moon at the same rate of how fast another player can possibly destroy your moon. I suggest slowing it down around the speed of a RIP. Maybe faster but higher construction time.
Re: New research technologies, new ships
#12Doing moonshots right now is as fast as finding someone you know in game and actually doing it.
Being able to do it solo faster than 2 people having to coordinate together would be highly imbalanced IMO.
Moon destroy missions usually take some time and planning when trying to catch a fleet. A self moonshot at the speed of probes means one can get a moon on a newly created colony anytime. I believe it should not be this easy for a player going solo.

#13On second thought, don't mind what I said. There is the ruby moon.

#14There is a maximum percentage chance with a moon shot. Perhaps increasing that percentage chance might be beneficial. 25-30% rather than the current level. Also, as has been said before, perhaps a brand new newb, noob, the first world they get, their original planet that is very small, that can't be abandoned, if it was to come with a moon in that first instance would be great. Of such a size, ie, 9999 diameter that it can't be popped. Any subsequent colony then you would have to go down the normal routes to gain a moon. But the first moon at your first world would be ideal.
