Essentially:
Pause building and research while in V-Mode to allow buildings and research that take a long time especially for players that have to periodically (weekly or even monthly at later levels) V-Mode probably due to their lifestyle.
(fleet movements and production are something that a player should be able to manage if they expect to V-Mode, production and fleet movement CAN be exploited though it would be good to see production of ships and defences included)
Proposed by SPY, just in the wrong section
Re: V-Mode Effect
#2It was not in the wrong section as i started with a help query to make sure i got the intel i had correct. but thanks for showing interest on the idea. so yes need more support on this idea if it makese sense to you all.
Here are the possible points nay sayers might raise.
Possible exploits:
1) upon raid attacks a player might go into vmode with research put into action with res being blocked in the lab then later come out of vmode and cancel the research and recover the res.
2) same with building queues.
Easy solution. All building recalls should come with a considerable penalty. In standard game play the penalty is usually 10% i wont mind if the penalty is 50% even. as thats the amount u lose on a single raid.

Re: V-Mode Effect
#3fair enough sorry, but I had a feeling it belonged here at this point..
when you enter v-mode you are stuck in it for 2 days, is that not enough of a penalty for hiding resources?
Given that all incoming attacks can still go through, I don't see how it is reasonable to hide resources by building/researching and then cancelling, usually the duration is long enough anyway, but fair point, there may be some cases where exploits can be made, so a penalty would encourage finding other means of hiding resources.

Re: V-Mode Effect
#4A penalty makes some sense for bigger players, but with active new accounts I often find that there are times when they simply don't have enough cargo space even if they spend as much as possible, I doubt it would be fair to do that to a smaller player, especially a noobSPY wrote:Here are the possible points nay sayers might raise.

I would point out though that usually people do not send more than 1 wave of attacks, and as such, to the potential vmode dodger, they only have to start building something, wait until the attacks land, then cancel the building and vmode. this is entirely possible already, with largely the same effect as vmoding with a building and/or research going.
I like the idea to vmode while "pausing" research and buildings, just trying to make a counter argument to the counter argument.
RL has been a b****. maybe for once I can stay around long enough to make a name for myself...
