Let's just say it like it is.
Every General has it's bonuses.
Like Sproggy baby said, it's a time critical game.
I'm not 60 and i can't afford to sit 24/7 in front of my laptop and play the game.
Not being an arse, just being realistic.
I'm sure plenty of other players have the same "problem" like me.
Do not take away the dens just because 3 players keep asking to do it ,the miners really need it.
They say dens make for unfair advantage, we should know how to move/hide the res.
Well, i say they should know to how raid if dens are a problem for the raiders/fleeters because dens really don't store that much res lol.

We also need to decide when the next tournament will take place and how long it will last.

I think this says enough.

Rather than individuals slating each other because of whatever reasons is irrelevant. Post things that you think would make the game better, not say things because YOU think another is moaning, waiting for posts just so that you can pick fault and slander others is not the way to post.

For the record, I got a full night's sleep every night. I know players were staying up around the clock but I wasn't one of them. I guess I just know how to build an empire that much better than the rest. Seems like the excuses just keep getting richer and lamer. I still think we should all start equally and then let the research techs decide which general we choose. Make the new ships, dens and other bonuses available once a tech level is reached then have a split in the 4 or 5 directions that determine which type of general.

Hence why I said "for example" Zorton....at your age (by your own admission) I would fully expect to have more time to play. It's not an excuse for me not doing better...I far exceeded my goals for the tourny in the limited time I had to play....if anything it seemed far easier this time round. Exceeding 800k fleet and I was a mere miner with no-one even close to crashing me......if anything it got a little boring in the end as players just built fleet for the sake of lazy play with ninjas.....final fleet scores proved that...I built fleet because it's a habit thing lol. There was no realistic way to get past those over-powered preds. As for your suggestion about letting techs dictate play style I have to agree.....one of the better suggestions to date......along with reducing excessive pred power that are far too easy to build early on with minimal techs...

Sprog also mentions Predator power.

Did any of you guys do sims? Preds had no rf on battleships. If you had done the sims you would see that BS could beat them. Rip's and BS together killed every pred raid I tried in sims. That's why I built 405 rip's and 50k bs's. The best offense is a good defense. I also used my bs's for raiding. I ended up top raider for the last 2 counts and had neither star raider or Predator. I learned from Dave/Death/gumppy a long time ago that powerful fleets can always be beaten by sending more ships. If w/s/a is higher for opponent, just send more ships. I guess you guys weren't around when bc's were Rip killers? That was way before lunar guardian came along and BC got nerfed. Every ship has a weakness. You just have to find it.

We found the weakness early on. Attacking with RIPS (for me personally) was not an option...too risky, too slow....but I did build loads along with b/s fleet aswell. For defending my fleet was adequate. Using a slow attack ship like a RIP in an attack fleet proves that preds are too powerful .....my point remains (as a miner....as a fleeter they are the business lol). Ftr I was not playing the game when b/c killed RIPS......strange to even think they could damage RIPS...and glad that lunars were introduced to even things out.

Btw do you not also think preds were far too easy to obtain early on?

I never knew how easy it was to get preds, never asked, nor did I know the cost. It didn't really affect my game. I was getting hit the first few days about 20 times a night. It made no difference. I absorbed the losses and got on with it. No crying, just carry on. He man and others took millions from me but it wasn't enough to stop me. No retaliation, no angry pm's, just keep building. I didn't even start raiding until the last week. The result speaks for itself.

i wonder fleeters and raiders don't want dens and high extra production for miners
so call us "farm" general then
you have strong predators and cheap star raiders ; if we don't have den so how we must defend our sats and resources?
building huge defense/fleet ? we are "miners" NOT turtles/fleeters and we must build high mines ; so need a BETTER den to protect our resources

lif anyone feels dens=win [that is not] he/she can choose "mine general"
at the start we are FREE to choose our type of general

You keep makIng the same post over and over and over and over without adding anything new to the table.
We want you to have a different bonus than the stupid den because it's literally counter intuitive to the freaking game. It's an invincible option if built high enough you can be gone 16hs at a time and rest easy knowing it's safe in that stupid den. Yea I believe preds need an increase in deut cost. Not much else. Like zorton said they are easily beat by the clever fleeter yeah imagine how many probes it takes to destroy a rip. You are clearly not the clever fleeter.
But I'm sure this post will be replied to by "but but mah den"
Every general gets a passive bonus and a active risky bonus. Not the mining general.
And you want 50% boost to mine general production...you are literally insane if you think that's viable. Sorry you couldn't just afk for 15 minutes and win. Like zorg said everyone needs a fleet. The generals are to complement your okay style not remove all other elements of gameplay.

well deidara ;
you know how much i like you but if in 3rd round a miner got 1st place it doesn't mean fleeters era has ended or miners had an easier work
(( in tourney 2 , 3 top 10 players there wasn't any turtle ! ))
currently miners have only 10% extra production !
means if we have same mines level and energy , in a certain period of time your mines for example produce 2m metal and my mines produce 2.2m ; is that a BIG difference ? only 200k ? i only can produce 1/10 of your resources MORE?
so can i name myself a "miner" ? ONLY 10%? have you ever played as a miner to understamd me? how f*cking much den takes ctystal from me and how much hides? haven't you STRONG predators ? can't you raid turtles/raiders by them?

and yes i keep posting same things becuz admin will pay attention if only i keep my offers posting
