Speed and X-treme universes are moving off to new physical machines.

Due to some network changes, these migrations will have some downtime. More specifically:

Speed will start at about Sunday 30th, 08:00:00 Server Time and is expected to be completed within 10 minutes at best or 30 minutes at worse. During this time, the universe will be not accessible by anyone.

X-Treme will start after Speed Migration is complete. If there are no delays from Speed Migration, it will start about at 08.30.00 Server time. During this time, the universe will be not accessible by anyone.

*X-TREME migration is expected to last less than Speed Migration.
*There will be important information here, after the migration, so consider checking this thread.

The universes will continue to be on DIFFERENT physical machines after the migration and the reason for migration is performance improvement. Also, we are making changes to our network setup in order to be able to make future migrations + additional universes an easier chore.

This will be the first official downtime due to a server migration for Zorg Empire. We could not avoid this due to migrations being manual this time + changes to our network.

Speed will also go through another scheduled downtime in the near future (approximately 10-30 more minutes) due to further improvements of the hosting company network: we will inform you about this when the time is right.

As always we strive to offer all the best and this constitutes the greatest improvement in our system to date. Thanks to your support, we will continue to invest in this department to ensure the greatest performance possible.

Speed Migration is complete. The downtime was about 10 minutes (or less) and was completed without any suprises. Server is now based on our brand new machine called... monster

Speed url has changed to www.zorgempire.org

Old speed.zorgempire.net will still work but better update your bookmarks to use any of the main domains for now as X-TREME migration may affect any .net bookmarks.

X-TREME migration will start in a few minutes.

X-TREME migration has been running for 25 minutes now and it seems it will need about 5~10 more. It took more time than expected due to the enormous amount of data.

X-TREME migration completed. We are setting up access from all points right now. Registrations will eventually remain open for X-TREME.

The game will run through http://67.222.24.91/~zorg/ till we ressolve DNS issues. Normally this should be ressolved within 24hours at most but since we have an issue with the company who hosts our domain, this may take more.

Umm, can you fix the speed hyperlink from the main page? It still goes to the old site.

Now that the server migration is done, can we expect any increase in performance? The game stops loading 5-10 times a day, usually lasts for a few minutes but frustrating non the less.

Speed is currently down and we are working on it.

I was having a lot of issues yesterday with xtreme being really slow. It has lagged a couple of times today.
