As the British public have taken an online survey with reference to naming a new military survey ship, I would like to know what other nationalities would consider a fine name for a new vessel?

If you had the chance to name a ship, what would you choose?

Bearing in mind, this is real, I do not think they could do any worse than "Boaty McBoatface"! This being the name that has attracted the most votes.

Another name suggested included "Usain Boat"!!!

My name for a ship would be "Terminator"..

Polaris is good, but is it too sensible? I mean, why have a great name like that when others, in their thousands have voted for BoatyMcBoatHead? lol.

The UK government has said the ship will be called RRS DAVID ATTENBOROUGH but in recognition of the 124,000 who voted online a remote operated submarine will be called boaty
