it is funny how this pole is going on.... and there has not been much voting for last few hours or more. i feel like only ppl who are using rip are here talking about it or rest quit ze lolz.

ok i thin we need a bigger voting cast. why not post a mass message and ask them to their voting cause its really a all player concern.

Agreed triad.

I think many votes are without thought anyway. The game shud be always based on war so encouraging attacks nt making it harder.

The people who vote in here matter enough and those voting 3000 above are not really voting sensible and just trying to make there game easier to halt attacks.

I voted for at most 300 because even though 1 is good, some people would just use death stars as the ultimate cargo ship for fleets saves then. Of course, I have never had a death star, and I don't know from first hand experience how much of a pain in the butt it is to send, so I only half thought of the consequnces. But, I agree with Fishpond, people shouldn't vote just to secure only their safety.

I can only speak for myself, as I am only one person. I would have other ships then just rips because I'm looking for speed most of the time, and rips just dont have that. The only time I use rips are for huge fleets where I absolutely need to, moon destroys when I'm hunting a fleet(which is actually more rare now), and if there is such a huge shell that there is no other way to crack it. Maybe something you could work on doing, is getting something so that no one ship is able to come up with a 0 loss, that would make people have to build other ships, and you would see a lot better fleeting out of people.

hmmmm i dont think that is a good idea rj. think about it, a rip costs alot and even except for top 20 no one has the capability to build rips more than 15 per day if we consider a moderate raid income + mining returns.

if rips do not have 0 loss on hits players wont use them at all and only the top 20 or so ppl who well for whom cost is never much of a problem will over power the lower ppl with rips.

this actually goes for all band or rankings. ppl who can hardly afford BS wont use BS much for loosing too many of them and so forth for BC and DDs or any other ships.

regardless from that i do not see how it is actually connected to fuel consumption. the basic reasoning was not to introduce the risk of loosing ships but making a mere defense bash that can raise a TD of more than several million TD be costly enough that u are taking the risk for it to be profitable.

IPMs are there for defense bash but normally players do not use them cause it is expensive. unless there is enough scope for resources one will not use IPMs for defense bash. but with a rip armada as long as its a 0 loss hit it is a profitable hit.

i think that is what zorg wanted to mean there, tho he has to confirm if i am assessing right.
and i agree with him if he meant it that way.

my thought was this spy, if you make it so no ship is all powerful, everyone will be forced to build other ships too. So lets just say for this theory, that usually you would send 6 rips to attack a planet with 0 loss, now you will need to send a few destroyers with them in order to continue on with that 0 loss. It will keep people from only building one kind of ship, and also make people have to think a bit before they launch.
