That is an uncommon starter build, but one that will get you faster up the tech tree than a conventional start. I would advise concentrating a little more on metal and crystal though, unless you raid like a *****.

Bear in mind this guide is over a year old, I will update it at some point to fit in with modern universe standards.. but the basic backbone is the same.

The difference between speed and extreme is that speed is 33% faster, so there will not be a large change in game play. The basic principles are the same, raid a crap load and use that to build your empire/fleet.
