I have not made any threats to Zorg or the Admins - just voicing my opinion.

I do not see any reason for making drastic changes to current ships.

I do agree that the new approved ships would be more beneficial than modifying current ships.

Is this a drastic change ? Please explain why.

The new approved ships are not far away now and the consumption of Lunar Guardian will be adjusted based o RIP consumption this is why it is currently important to take a final decision on the matter.

If you have 1 or 2 Death Stars you will not see the deut cost rise that much and can be manageable. Now consider having hundreds or even thousands of Death Stars. Considering the current deut cost of a Death Star is 1 deut and you propose to increase it 3000 times. Calculate the increase of moving 1000 or 5000 Death Stars. The cost has now been increased by 3000 percent.

Common sense dictates that this will negatively affect the players who have numerous Death Stars. That is the reason I am opposing this suggestion.

By keeping RIP consumption low, it means that anyone can have free rides on trips at Moon Destroy mission. This means that someone who wants to pop a moon can do it for fun as he really has nothing to do except from a very rare (1%) risk.

With all due respect, I don't think that the argument you put forth addresses the situation at a full game level. Your proposition is better discussed concerning fleet balance and why people have such an overpowering amount of said ship. If fleets were balanced properly, your argument would not exist.

And you have a right to your opinion too...

I created a flight calculator recently and used it to make some calculations with the 2 deut consumption variables - 1 (current deut consumption) and 3000 (proposed deut consumption).

Utilizing Hyperspace Engine level 7 (as you need this to get Death Star).

Calculations with 1 deut consumption:

Moving 1 Death Star from 9:242:10 to 1:242:10 at 100% speed.

Distance: 160.000
Duration: 11:38:30
Deut Needed: 19

Moving 100 Death Star from 9:242:10 to 1:242:10 at 100% speed.

Distance: 160.000
Duration: 11:38:30
Deut Needed: 1.830

Moving 1000 Death Star from 9:242:10 to 1:242:10 at 100% speed.

Distance: 160.000
Duration: 11:38:30
Deut Needed: 18.287

Calculations with 3000 deut consumption:

Moving 1 Death Star from 9:242:10 to 1:242:10 at 100% speed.
Calculation Results
Distance: 160.000
Duration: 11:38:30
Deut Needed: 54.858

Moving 100 Death Star from 9:242:10 to 1:242:10 at 100% speed.
Distance: 160.000
Duration: 11:38:30
Deut Needed: 5.485.714

Moving 1000 Death Star from 9:242:10 to 1:242:10 at 100% speed.
Distance: 160.000
Duration: 11:38:30
Deut Needed: 54.857.128

Clearly you can see the disadvantage of increasing the deut consumption.

Spy your point is going nowhere there!! (As normal)

Ista i like your input but you are not a fleeter and i dont think anyone but a fleeter really understands the effects this would have.

The fact is Recs are faster and there job is different to a DS - They are also not that expensive to move around if your collected the DF you do.

A DS is meant for its reason to be a powerful ship that travels slowly but hits its targets with force.

Why do all the changes recently seem to be Anti fleet - This is a war strategy game not a lets try everything in our power to stop people attacking game! Lets focus on new ships and developments to incoporate future improvements not making traditional ones worse!

Lodbrok, your calculations are very interesting and make a strong point.
Could you please do the same calculations for an equivalently sized fleet of BCs traveling the same distance so that we can see the difference?
I realize that they have different missions and speeds so they shouldn't necessarily require the same fuel consumption, but it would definitely be nice to compare the two to get a feel for effect of the change.
Thanks!
