I have been playing this game for roughly 1 year now and in different servers.
I'm a bit confused now. Always thought that account-sitting was forbidden ,but i recently received a mail from Admin that account-sitting IS ALLOWED. No other explanation as to maybe it's allowed under special circumstances or such. They just told me that it's allowed.
Am i going crazy or did i just not see that the whole time?
I'd like some feedback please.....

as far as I know account sitting in an emergency ( i.e u can't f/s as Net is down so u txt a friend to lift your fleet) is permitted.......to use his account when he is offline for anything other than this is not.....else it would be nigh on impossible to attack that person as he could theoretically be online 24/7 raiding away .

No, the email clearly read:Account sitting is allowed.Multi accounting not.
So to me it says : Dude, sit as many accounts as you want and when you want, it's no biggie....As long as it's not multi accounting.

My understanding of Account Sitting is: you may access an account to: Fleetsave or place account into VM only.
you may not build..cancel a build..attack..research..or anything else...if you were to do any of these as a sitter..you would be multi-accounting. Operators please elaborate on this subject.

Ok, so i got a threat from a player ,but along the way he also mentioned that he had a rescue plan ready in case he was off when being attacked (in this scenario his fleet's not in the air). So me crashing his fleet again won't ever be possible again , whether he's on or off. That means he's got someone ready to sit his account and lift his fleet when that person sees an attack inbound. Now; is that account-sitting or multi accounting??????

I would consider it multi-accounting... sitting should be used sparsely..not daily like many may be doing
I use it only to meet a Fleetsave if my member can't be there.. but to watch someones account..then log into his account to avoid him losing ships..that's cheating by multi-accounting.

if a mate sees an inbound attack then that would be multi, as he would have to be logged into the account longer than it takes to fleet save. sitting is simply for an emergency fs. no more than 2 minutes should be spent logged onto an account one may be sitting as that is plenty of time to fs

I see precious little difference between this and multi-play ethically.

The idea that you can remedy your poor choices in game by revealing your password to someone else annoys me

a personal view.

sitting means you let someone play your account completely. its an exclusive game play access. if you are sitting you cannot play as a original player in any other account.

where multi-playing means you have two account and you are playing on both yourself.

letting a friend play the game cause you had an imergency so that they can fleet save for you or put you in vmode is entirely different.

now exploiting the last one is morally and ethically wrong. and having someone watch over your fleet while you are sleeping well thats an offence punishable by death.. i mean ban!
