its most likely this has been asked before, waht is the chances of creating a new ship that protects debris fields, each one should be very very expensive and fast, but high on det usage,it would make collecting debris that bit more riskier.

Don't really think it is needed, and I kind of think it would benefit the bigger players more than the smaller, but also why would you need a new type of ship? DF Defend could simply be made a mission option for current attack ships.
