Post here a question you think we should ask the players of X-TREME in a future survey.
Feel free to post here anytime. Once the time is right, we will filter through the most prominent ones and include them to our universe wide survey.
Surveys will greatly shape our directions in future decisions regarding the game, from now on.
We will though try to keep the number low to avoid annoyance. Perhaps 1 or 2 per year will do.
Re: Future Survey questions - X-TREME
#2In my opinion, the unique aspect of the X-treme uni is the volume of infomation you have to deal with. You have a lot of space and a lot of planets to deal with. With that as my premise, the questions are how far can you push the envelope and how do you make it more appealing to more players.
So I'll kick things off with:
Do you think the maximun number of colonies should be higher.
Do you think you should be allowed to buy the ability to establish more planets with rubies?
Do you think fleets should be capped or limited after they reach a certain size?
Do you think any ships should be changed? If so, what and how (be concise)
Do you think X-treme should add more ships? If yes what specifically would you like to see? (be concise)
Would you like more building to choose from? If yes, what are your ideas? (again be concise)
Would you like to see a component added to the game concerning civilian populations?
Would you like to see more complex economics but into place?
Would you like to see random events added to the game?
Would you like to see expedition expanded
Do you think there is a place for more technologies? If so, what type? (by consise)
Do you think it should be easier to protect your res and ships from attack when you are not online?
Should the rules governing alliance wars be changed?
Keep in mind these are not things to discuss, but a beginning of decisions about what to discuss. At least that's my understanding.

#3Here is a question that needs to be asked and answered:
Should forum moderators/administrators play in the same universe that they moderate over?

Re: Future Survey questions - X-TREME
#4Technically the admins do play the servers they moderate over lol, there is an Admin account on each server.
The forum mod question is a good one though

#7if the Mods have any power in the game, then they should be only allowed to attack other Mods in the game just to check on game bugs and to keep an eye out for cheaters who will need their accounts Banned or suspended.
Re: Future Survey questions - X-TREME
#8Only Zorg and the devs have administrative power ingame. Moderators only have power either in chat, the forums, or in some cases, ZE's Facebook page, or any combination of those sites

Re: Future Survey questions - X-TREME
#10While I don't dispute that a potential abuse of power is important, I think it would help X-treme if we could remain focused. If I was a game designer, I'd give the community with the strongest opinions the most attention.
In my opinion the real question for this thread, is what aspects of the game to we want the coders to work on. If we decide the most important thing is administrative reform, then so be it. I'd put that down the list myself.
I'd most like to see a new layer of technoligies, ships, and buildings to add a layer of complexity to the game. I want to be pushed to handle the maximum amount of data and issues, not just bigger and bigger fleets. This could be economic issues, civilian populations, covert warefare, or something else.
