Ok, I was chilling at home last night, and I thought of a way to help prevent a repeat of all the drama that came about from Gozar hitting GWD then Rj.

For GWD, Gozar left the alliance then formed a new one afterwards if I recall correctly. Rj was kicked from this new alliance then crashed.

How do we throw a wrench in these plans? Simple. Put at least a 5 day attack block on people who exit an alliance, willingly or not. This block would make it so that for these 5 days, they cannot be attacked by nor can they attack their former alliance mates. This block would be placed on all the members of that alliance at the exact time of the player exiting it, giving the player a chance to see what's going on.

EDIT: 24 hours instead of 5 days

i like how u came up with this idea mate.

but 5 days is a bit too long... vmode restriction is not even 5 days. how about a 24 hour restriction? if the player is an active player 24 hour is a good time for him to realize that something is not right. if the player dont realize it by then or dont check back in 24 hours then who ever it is his fleet should be crashed.

not the right place to put this but just cant not say it either... there is something called giving a fair chance to a battle. the player base from the top to where ever bottom that is already showed given the chance they have and will take advantage of alliance "features".

i am calling it a feature cause i know zorg will argue that it is a feature of the game ... and u play along with it. i agree with u on that, if u would say it, but what would bug me is if a feature of the game allows someone to take advantage of a player. which undoubtedly happened in within a very short period of time.

the issues were brought up cause it was a clash between two/three massive players. but how u know smaller alliances are not doing that too and lower level players just couldn't bother with it and moved on from the game without a shout.

all the above is not for flaming or pointing fingers to anyone rather stating that what DR has proposed is a really decent and robust solution for the issue.

as they say... prevention is always better than protection than cure.

for once i wasnt trying to flame lol go figure

no what i was meaning is i doubt he will be inclined to do it because he has said in the past it shouldnt be needed, but i hope im wrong because i think its a great idea. instead of trusting in sportsmanship amongst players, just make a broad rule that should cover all basis.

im all for it, and will be awaiting response from the proper channels.

24 hours could work, though I'm inclined to lean more towards maybe 48 hours because real life can be a pain (been through this myself D: )

As to what was said about sportsmanship, yeah that is scarce in the game, namely xtreme server, these days

Thanks for the feedback guys, nice to know people appreciate my spur of the moment ideas :D

I agree. Look at all the trouble the drama stirred up, People flinging accusations of cheating at each other, flame wars, trolling, just overall it doesn't look good on the game when drama like this comes up. People start quitting, and ruby users are prone to just stopping cold turkey, which means less money to keep the game afloat.

If people know they will have a fair chance in this game, it's more encouraging for them to spend money buying rubies, therefore helping the game stay afloat. Non-ruby users are also more encouraged to actually stay on this game.

Worded this the best I could, I'm not exactly a pro when it comes to wording some things :P
