Promoting the game

#1
The summer has been a small decrease in the active players playing the game. Now with the new season, we are hoping to get our active number back to normal and even greater.

For this, we are spending most of the income generated through Zorg Rubies to advertise and bring more people into the game. We constantly advertise but we will advertise some more to keep active players count up.

We would also like to ask your help in this. It is your game as well. The more active players, the better for everyone. There are some simple things you can do as a player to help the game progress. I will list them here:
-Be active!
-Be active in the forums!
-Be helpful with other players where you can.
-Do not harass (or look to profit directly and as soon as possible - there will be time later to raid them :P) the newbies. Instead try to help them. The more competition, the better. And it is always good to be a mentor!
-Bring your friends in Zorg Empire! Using a forum signature is also a good idea to bring other people into the game.
-If you can, buy zorg rubies. They are well spent and they sure help us to continue working on the game.
-If you happen to own a site, consider putting a link for Zorg empire. There are no bonuses for bringing new people in the game and this is something we might change in the future. However it is important to see the good aspect of bringing new players to the game.
-There is a great deal of people that get easily demoralized. Think of yourself when you were a newbie. This can always help!
-Lure your female friends into the game! There are already some females but everyone would like more eh ? ;) Of course you will have to teach them a bit as well...
-Be patient with game development! We are trying and there will be great improvements in ALL aspects in the next 3 months.
-Bring the existing players into the forums! We believe the Zorg Empire community is quite interesting. There is intrigue, severe competition at times and pretty interesting personalities. Some are too strong perhaps but this adds to the flavor of the game.
-Continue to give your suggestions, we might be slow paced but we will get the job done!
-Don't forget to feed the cats!

Flame on ;)

Ok, I have no issues with the first parts of the comment you made. However, I am not amused with the last part of it. Sounds to me like you assume the females will need to be taught whereas the male friends wouldn't. Sorry but I came into this game with over 3 years experience in it from another very similiarly formatted game. This comment is not really worded well.

As for advertising, I am not sure how it is done but you may wish to look into getting ZE put in places like GameSites200, Gtop100, Extremetop100 or MMORPG100. If you do this you can set up in the ZE system for the players to vote for ZE at these sites, perhaps offering a 5 rubie reward if your system tells you that they voted for ZE at all the sites you have set up.

No, the game is very much flawed. The recyclers bug, the little things in the game, the score board bug, the multiple dead lines they set and failed to comply with, none of the promises have been met, the fact that the battle engine is finished and not added, the fact that the last update we received on how things were going was a month ago, and now instead of actually fulfilling promises, they would rather get more people into this game who will certainly quit afterwards when they see the many missing additions.

games are revolving doors... it doesnt matter if you stay, simply how many are active and "donating" to the game. That is how the gaming business is run. You act as if they need to be your friend and be honest and upfront with you. If you are not a backdoor partner with them, they are not going to update you on everything, simply enough to keep you interested and playing.

the numbers will not drop, they wil simply fluctuate, the number of skilled players may well drop, but not the actual number of players. That is why the push on advertising, new players that dont know what is working and what is not. They will be more likely to spend IRL $$ to focus on growing than say a player that is already established.

Fresh players will allow for growth of game, whether flawed or not. And then maybe somebody can get hired that can fix those problems. My face is now turning blue holding my breath.

Why are u so pessimistic. This is a great game, it is simple to learn, but complicated to do good.

So what if it has a few flaws. The recycler flaw isn't that bad, when it happens just recall your fleet.

This game is so stupidly simple that people just see all the small things as something bad.
