Listing this under this topic as certain players seem to be at the very best, sailing close to breaching these rules.
"6. You must not MILK
Every account must be played to its own full benefit. Anything contradicting this is considered MILKING. Any accounts involved in a milking case will be banned permanently game wide (all accounts in all universes).
Included in the above is this, :- "*Moonshots, DF collection and Mercenary payments are considered as Trading."
MOONSHOTS. I see a lot of attempts, eventually these shots are successful. Then, that new moon is then destroyed. It all starts again. If this is continual, then ultimately this rule will be infringed. Just a reminder to all about this rule.
Re: Moonshots and DF collection.
#2Your observations, I learned over the time, come mostly from standard. There, as far as I know, resource production is slow and so is raiding. So, the scenario should be the following: A top raider in standard, showing no growth whatsoever (since all he gets is used to pay for moonshots) is offering another player huge amounts of resources to get moons. The moons are immediately destroyed and the process starts over. Is that what you see?
By the way, are the moons destroyed by the one offering the moonshots? If so, that is surely a breach of the milking rule and should be reported.

Re: Moonshots and DF collection.
#3No, the moons are destroyed by myself. The alliance that I am attacking, one player loses a moon, another there offers continual moon shots until they manage to get a new moon. I again pop it, the process starts afresh.
However, since I first posted this topic, it has mysteriously ceased! lol.
The DF, only once have I picked it up.

Re: Moonshots and DF collection.
#4Have you checked if the player receiving moonshots keeps the DF? Or does he return the res from the DF to the person giving the MS? This is not milking imho since the moons are being destroyed by an enemy and not a friend or alliance member or the player himself solely for getting a large enough moon or for the DF (which would be just silly ). You are destroying his moons because you are hunting his fleet or some other reason. That is an act of war so it's just logic that he wants another moon asap. And if he's returning the DF to the MS giver , he's not abusing the milking rule. But that's just my humble opinion...

#5Are you guys really considering this as a form of milking? Who cares about 10 mil metal and 10 mil cry in the big run? Even 100 mil metal and cry are nothing compared to a big account..

Yes we are. It's unusual I know, but this is actually written in the rules as such.
This would be a clear infringement of the rules, it's there in black and white.
There is a certain alliance, they have in the past been known to dump resources on an alliance member's undefended moon, then raided back what they have dumped. When challenged they argue that because this is not written in the rules as being unlawful in the game, then "It's not in the rules therefore it's okay!". Then they block you as they do not like what they are hearing. So, whilst they do this, then the rules that ARE written down should be adhered to. They cannot have it both ways!

#7Death has a point. Feel free to send me 100 mil metal and crystal whenever you feel like. It's nothing in the big run ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Yes, a good point. Is this perhaps the player that used to be with our alliance? You know the one, that asked for resources when he first joined us? I think it was. Of course, what WAS sent to him was within the milking rules! But, why ask for those resources if the amounts quoted previously are such a little deal? lol!!
Re: Moonshots and DF collection.
#9The cost of the Moonshots can be paid for and the DF sent back, so there may be no milking rule violation even occurring, Also isn't this still causing your opponents to spend resources for nothing but another moon destruction tally? Seems like you are still getting the better end of this arrangement >.<mightyoz wrote:No, the moons are destroyed by myself. The exageration is there for a reason, doubt players would milkor push that much because of the selfish human nature
