Is there a way to block certain people from sending me private messages in forum? I have Alduin blocked in game yet he still feels the need to send me abusive messages here. Ftr he has been doing this to other players aswell before people start going on about me complaining....not that it ever gets me anywhere....

Ah well, Alduin has been sending me such beautiful texts in PM's here. I do love our interesting convo's.
Calling my wife a whore that i need to get off the street and my whole generation whores.
Well that makes very interesting PM's.
I must admit, i have replied in the same colorful manner.
But that's just me , angry peeps going off their rockers in PM's is what i live for =)

Forward all the content and concerns you have directly to Zorg. Obviously we all don't want to see these alleged messages in the forums. But if what you are saying is true, then it needs dealing with.

Actually forward it to any forum mod. Everyone must stop sending messages when told to stop.

So, next time someone messages you, simply reply back stop messaging me. If he continues, reply again after 1 day, that you consider this as spam and that if he continues you will report it to administration. If he keeps sending messages, simply get in touch with the closest mod you can get.

The mod procedure is to warn the player if he appears to be clueless. If not, simply add a forum warning and generally follow same rules following forum warnings ruleset.

Generally speaking though, I find it very disturbing when players cannot solve such issues themselves. So, in the same time the one who reports such a behaviour needs to be checked whether or not he is telling the truth. It is common after all that both parties are at fault. At such case, both must be penalized and the one who reported first should receive a bigger penalty for the whole nuissance.

By the way, I am not sure if regular users can create rules for PMs. If yes, you can delete any message a specific player sends on arrival.

In the past, a certain member of the forums was banned, for good, ever, etc etc. Now, he's back. Forever isn't that long it seems! Why oh why when someone is banned for good are they allowed back in to carry on with their abusive tirades. Ultimately that "person" aggravates, annoys and so on to such a degree that the players that he is taunting bite back. Then it's turnaround time. You are off topic, you said this, you said that. Why does he not just stay BANNED???

A community has better ways to keep someone out, than issuing a ban.

Can you elaborate, or is it a secret?

He was banned for good. Then he is not. Since his return he has been as abusive as ever.

So, what can we do? A good idea would be to perhaps take away bans full stop? If there are better, secret ways then perhaps bans as a whole should be withdrawn and done away with. The ultimate sanction withdrawn. No threat of banning, a life time ban withdrawn, sounds like a good plan. That will surely stop anyone being abusive.

Not exactly sure how I am meant to resolve issues with someone I don't want to talk to and block yet they message me in forums...

As for the one reporting needs checking....that implies someone might be lying....easy as anything to check so no idea why you even stated that but maybe I missed soemthing somwhere.

I would be foolish to report someone for foul and abusive language if I had been sending exactly that type of message back! Therefore a "bigger" penalty would not be required for the reporter as such....but surely a bigger penalty for the proven abuser...especially a repeat offender....

Abusive messages are becoming more frequent ....I don't mind banter or mild flaming...but some take it too far.

Yeah, well you see now, this player I was mentioning was banned for good. Funnily enough the abuse stopped. Now, he's back. That life time ban was, well, .... not for life! Now the abuse is back. Funny that don't you think?

I wonder what went wrong? Hmmmmm,
