Union of DISHONOUR

#1
After seeing so many posts regarding how we keep players, old and new alike in the game, it seems a certain alliance is Hell bent on forcing both those types of player out of the game. I would like to add, as a player it's not me, nor the alliance that I'm part of. There is a particular alliance, the Leader is an old time player, he's been playing for years, but is now considering his future as he in particular has been singled out for constant attack (within the rules of the game), the sole reason it seems is JUST for the attacking score. The alliance in question, doing the attacking will no doubt argue that it's within the rules and I know for a fact that members there will try and always justify their actions. The only people they are convincing of course is themselves. SO, an old time player, the leader of a new player alliance, now at least half full of inactive or v mode players is probably leaving the game. Hurrah for that said attacking alliance/players. But at least you will have your attackers medals for the week! Good stuff, heroes all round. The question is, who's next? As that old player leaves the game, many of his members doing the same, they will no dount move on to someone else, replicate their actions until even more players leave the game. What a completely shortsighted and stupid thing to do. One can only imagine that they sit around, planning their actions, passing around the communal neuron, as it seems that there are no individuals there with a brain of their own thinking, How can we possibly destroy this server! There is a leader, he doesn't use the forums, doesn't see the point!?!?! So of course he won't read this, if indeed he can actually read? Maybe not, it's not his turn for that said communal neuron! The alliance text they have, well, let's just say it's comical. I presume that's he not actually the leader there. He created this alliance, but I fear, as weak a leader that he is, he now has no control over his minions, again, I would imagine he is just running scared of his own players. The alliance text states "do the right thing"!!! It appears not, unless the right thing is to close down that server. I will not receive an answer to this, especially from the "leader", probably too frightened.

I *THINK* I know what you're talking about? (I don't live THAT far under a rock)
A little vague, but also you haven't really asked a question to get an answer to, this is more like a rant (no offence), and you always have the option of msging any individual player in-game if you have a more direct message/question.

Also, I haven't done the maths, but there appeared to be some profit involved...
Yes, 2 of the 3 hits I have been shown appear rather profitable, granted though, the third appears to be more for points than for profit.

We do not sit around scheming, many of our members are relatively inactive (at least I am) presumably awaiting the time when some new players catch up and stir some life in, the question is whether they will make it or whether we give up and v-mode.

EDIT: I missed one of the reports, but that should be 3 of 4 very profitable hits.

Thanks for the insight and points raised Athight. The vagueness was there for a reason as not to try and publicly humiliate an alliance/individuals. Perhaps conscience would prevail. Some of the hits were profitable yes. I grant that. But, seeing as that player has just given up, being the turtle he is and having good mines, any future hits will also be profitable. The points/questions I was trying to make? Targeting a player, driving him out of the game, along with his newb alliance, just to create further farms, farms that will no doubt have rubies sent to them so they will not be deleted is very, very shortsighted and also extremely cynical. We are trying to encourage players to stay in the game, what we can do to have this happen. Then BOOM! He leaves some resources sitting, we will target him, take what he has, then keep hitting him. The deut needed to launch would normally be restrictive, especially when what you are taking is metal and a bit of crystal. But take some of that and say it was profitable, okay, maybe the first hits, yes. The later hits,? Hmmmm. As you say, you are not the most active player in that server. So, plump a roamer next to one of your worlds, pop the moon, then keep hitting you, I don't suppose, even if you were to stay in that server it would inspire you with confidence or think it was fair. What perhaps would you suggest to that player that has been hit to encourage him to stay in the game? Also, the original post was not directed at everyone in that said alliance. It has 20 plus members, not all our as cynical or as indifferent to the needs of the server, aside from the ones in permanent v moders or inactives. What can we do to stop the leaving players from doing just that? A future of 40-50 core players in the whole server, a few inactives scattered around, a few "Ruby" farms for certain individuals to enjoy (not really in the spirit of the game either is it?). A dead server, that we can ALL moan about as it isn't worth playing anymore.

I remember you and another member of your alliance destroying my shell without profit.Your attack resulting to your loss.Did you ever hear me complained?Did I leave the game? Now I did a profitable hit, but you complain.Do you think your in a position to say such things?who I hit was an old player.I rarely hit new players trying to grow?I allow them to grow? How about you?Do you do the same with clean conscience?

Awww, ickle wickle Greed is annoyed, lol. My conscience is clear, what's the matter? Truth hurt. How did you know I was even talking about you? Again, does that truth hurt? Did I attack you or are you getting selective memory recall? I think it's probably the latter, lol. Did I have a roamer next to you? Oh yes, I did. Did I attack you from there? Oh no, of course I didn't, I dismantled it because you kept clear. Nothing in it for me, or do you not recall that in your selective memories? lol. Perhaps the "better" way would have to have attacked for a little profit at great deut expense, then continued caning you? Ah, that would be the way to do it wouldn't it? lol. So Greed (Apt name btw), what is your suggestion for keeping these players in the game? Or is beyond you to have an opinion on that? Or is it ALL about attacking points?

Nothing hurts! You can't blame to us what was really not our fault. The player has the chance to clear his resources and fleet for many hours but he did not do so.And for keeping players, I suggest you and your member be more friendly to new players so we can keep more players for standard.

I think you should perhaps look at yourself in the mirror, think about the being friendly to new players bit doesn't really cut the mustard, lol. Again, your selective memories are clouding your thoughts, haha. That said alliance was set up by me. It was for new players to learn the game. It was led by an older player, the one that you have gone after, JUST for the points scoring. They are primarily out of bounds to us, we leave them be. More easy points for you there, lol. My member? don't talk about my member, that's personal! OUR memberSHIP leaves them alone. But, unfortunately, most of them are now going inactive. Somebody from YOUR alliance even asked me if I would ninja him in protecting them, making sure it was clear for him to attack them! lol. Friendly towards newbs, lol. "Do the right thing" lol!! Again, from your reply, that truth does hurt! Keeping players in Standard, what chance have they got with points at stake? That truth must be seriously wounding you there Greed, just your replies state that.
