They suck and make raiding boring. My experience of raiding on xtreme - it takes ages to scan through the galaxies and over 90% of the players are these 'dot' guys with planet names from Greek mythology. And they generally have zero points so not much res. It makes it boring.
My suggestion - I've said it before - a much quicker delete time for 0-points guys (like 1 week maybe if they never even build anything then they are unlikely to keep playing after that, and if they do they can always start again)
And to balance it out, a much longer delay before deleting inactives with more points, who might actually come back to the game and who are more fun and interesting for raiding.
We need to work on retention. I"d say at least half of all players leave before even earning one point. Perhaps some type of mentor program If you agree to show a newbie the ropes, maybe some free resources or a small number of rubies?

Yes! Since deletions have started....the average raiding loot has been cut in half or worse meaning a new player coming in will pretty much have to double their raids vs mine to equal the same loot.
I have also noticed new players popping up all over for quite some time now....and hardely any of them stick..99.9% of em dont even build 1 thing. I have started to become more active again.....and find myself resorting to just hitting actives now to not waste anymore time sifting through the muck created its almost time to create new farms to take matters in our own hands...was that the intention all along zorg....cuz what youve done to game based on your numbers previously stating you were able to recruit in players....Im barely seeing any stick to game
and about retention for more players.....lots of resources ! better guides.....perhaps more resources to keep players attention in the game building up basic stuff....the status quo is a few clicks and this ***** cant do anything for hours.....I would prefer to see resources and a guide to establish all colonies in a day, and a beginner raid fleet asap for new players to keep their attention to the game to increase chances they stay
I agree Dredd. When I originally started, there were far more inactives to hit. I don't see why inactives should be deleted unless it is to make room for new players. And really, I don't see enough new players sticking around to justify this. The bigger players who started earlier, had a huge advantage with more inactives to raid, than people starting now would.

I did warn in past to Zorg in another topic about deleting so many inactives. Just got numbers thrown at me about recruitment. I could easily recuit in hundreds of players myself.......already done it!!!!!! I put most of them into same alliance and I got to hear about all the goods.......and the bads that eventually led to 99.9% of them quitting game.......
I think just a few minor tweaks and better future insight into management would go far towards really competing with the Original Genre creator
I'm sure the admins are doing the best they can. But it would be nice if they could implement at least a couple suggestions.
