Derelict Zorg

The condition I see Zorg slipping into is a one of a decline, where once was a great community now rest a few that remain. Outsiders don't approach because of the fraternity they have form, take chat for an example I could log in and stay for hours and still see my login command remaining on the screen. Before there was so much banter in there people where making their own rooms, now one could siege war on one another and the other wouldn't know. It a sad truth, perhaps linking something with facebook to share the link and help get around. This concludes my pessimistic rant.

Zorg Empire has a facebook page, it just doesn't get a lot of use

perhaps people quit going to chat cause it gave away their times. Some have even lost fleet because they were involved in chat and lost track of time. I don't use chat simply because it does give up my times. I see plenty of new players, especially in speed. We hear this sort of thing at least once a year yet Zorg is still going... *sigh* suppose we will always be hearing about the supposed decline and or demise of Zorg. At least we will be here to hear it.

Actually, pessimistic topics started before Zorg was even 1 year old. It is 4 years old now and we are still going strong. Perhaps not as strong as one year ago but this is mainly because we have not opened a new universe for 16 months now. You also have to calculate the overall drop of population this type of games got with the rise of facebook and 1-week happiness games it offers.

Still, I have said it in another post that Zorg is now a ship that cannot be sunk. We will be around for the years to come and hopefully much stronger.

If you are anxious about our future, there are always a lot of things you can do to help us. Here is a small list writing-it-as-i-think-it:
  • Bring your friends to ZE - Teach them how to play it
  • Promote it either by using our tools ( forum signature, referral program ) or by mentioning it when opportunity arises; We can always use more publicity and the signups that come from it
  • Participate in the forums with posts that promote the community social - we are always interested to strengthen what has been named as the best thing in ZE countless of times so far
  • Buy rubies - this can result in better (and cheaper if done massively) gameplay as somehow, we work better when we are getting paid
  • Don't create problems by sharing your fictional cases in public on how bad administration is- trolls will be arrested :P

well i agree with zorg and smurf I started in standard in 2009 and speed in 2010ish and since the day i started i have heard about zorge will not last bla bla bla guess what it has and it will.. and that is a good idea zorg if everyone in the comunity put a referal link on there facebook staus or wall i guarentee it would increase our comunity because ink about it lets say 100 people read this on forums and do this those 100 people probably have 200-500+ friends on face book and then their friends friends see it too so there is a possable 50 000 -250 000+ people seeing that zorg is here and out of that many people odds say some will join and trolls dont get arrested they get destroyed

I am glad I got positive responses, I do want to clarify that I did mean derelict not ending but 'dormant'. I suppose with a clearer head I mean could Zorg set up a system that would allow facebook, google+, etc. option to let the player post some information when a player breaks x amount of points, when they join a new alliance, go up in rank in an alliance, etc. Because, I am sorry to say, I don't really like letting games posting on my page but I dislike talking about games, too, so if there was this option I could 'accidentally' let it post and then I wouldn't feel as 'nerdy' as some call this game (believe it or not). So yes Zorg can't be sunk but right now the ballast are at their minimum and a rouge wave could knock it off course, I mean that we can only go up (or in that analogy down... but I digress).

Zorg chat has died away chaos of the most frequenters gotten themselves busy with real life. We all like to believe that ZE is a life style but reality has a much stronger hammer when it comes to putting down things in to order. And afterwords the regular players were not up to the challenge of making the chat more fun. Alot has to do with chat moderators who were just too much of trigger happy sometimes. And always ppl were showing off power. But those are minor facts, the major reason why ze chat stopped working was ppl have stopped frequenting there.

about the game yes the game has more player base in a total considering all the universe but the player base has been thinned out. Servers that do not earn were not given enough focus so ppl were always jumping towards the new ones for fresh beginnings. Its understandable but hey you have a certain obligation to the one server that really gave the platform for all of this to come in and make happen.

about referring, yes thats a problamatic on... lately i find ze a life style is not a quick sell.

nevertheless i am here, so are a lot of players who are still playing. and i am sure they will still be playing for a longer time.

ze is just going through a phase.

I agree that ze chat declined because people stopped hanging around in the chat. But I believe the mods actions were a big factor behind this.

What do you consider a spam? I sometimes post a smiley just to be sure I am still connected. The difference between the two single smiley was almost 2 hours Mod Baiting, Warning Issued-DR. Oh yeah I was using a new account and I believe I was acting well as a new player.

The chatroom should be left to those who use it and be moderated only when things go out of control. Not control the chatroom.
There came a point where the current online mod's "friends" are the only people on the chat.
