Bashing rule questions, game taking up too much of my life.

#1
Maybe it's because when I started playing this game back in October or so of last year it was a different sort of world. I had a lot of fun, I almost never got severely attacked... Sure it happened once or twice and I learned how to fleet save, but the way that the game is right now, it just isn't very fun for me personally, it makes me want to quit all together. I do not believe that I will quit yet, but I may end up doing so in the near future.

My worlds and my allies worlds are probed sometimes 50 to 80 times a day by some people, sometimes even more than this, it is really stressful and has me being paranoid, checking my screen every 15-20 minutes of my day to make sure I am not being attacked or anything. I literally worried myself sick this week to the point of me not being able to play, function, or even walk for a short time yesterday because I was too stressed out over everything, I had only been sleeping 3-4 hours a night to try to protect my assets, and even that did not work. So i took a vacation. I will be back in good time, but I wanted to state my issues with the game right now.

--

So the way I understand it, someone can attack someone else any number of times and as long as they technically lose the attack they can keep attacking. I find this problematic and I will say it is very harassing. Mostly because, while attacks can fail they can also batter down a defender.

I would really be happier if the bashing rule limited the number of times any individual active player could be attacked to 5 times in 1 day whether it is a win or a loss, also the location shouldn't matter. if you log in and see you were attacked 110 times legitly in 1 night, wouldn't that be a real downer?

Am I just too stressed over playing this game? I think so personally, it's not so much of a game but turning into a war for me. I miss the days I could just lazily send out my fleet 3 or 4 times a day to gather resources, build some things and on a busy week fight one or two risky battles.

Maybe after a few more days vacation I will feel better about this, but I don't think my feelings towards the game will change unless the environment changes..

-

In short I think there should be a lower or a different limit on the number of attacks per day allowed and the number of probes per day allowed.

It seems standard has changed alot since I last played it, I remember a time when I could wait weeks before even an espionage probe came my way

Sad to hear things are getting out of control for you, but I can think of a few ways in which you can get a little less stress,

Pay to Play
Whilst not available for all its an option to consider, getting that big ruby moon can make fleetsaving much more carefree, and if you and your allies work together you can have a ruby moon available to fleetsave to in every galaxy...try popping a 9900 8-)

Also get rid of any sats you have, they act just like a light attracting all the moths, fusion is the future!
Also the extra energy from the plus can help out here

Naps and Allies
Do you trust everyone in your alliance completely and 100% sure there are no spies, a spy in your alliance can cause undue stress as they feed on/off times to your attackers, causing you more and more problems.
Whilst Naps reduce your target pool and therefore your potential income, getting attacked every day does as well, arrange some Naps with some of the attacking alliances if possible.
Or as a last attempt...ditch your current alliance and join another one, if an alliance is known as a farm and your in it that is going to cause some problems if you can't handle the heat

Vacation
When your stressed you will eventually start making mistakes and they will cost you alot, You've took a break from the game which was a good decision, coming back into the game gives you a different perspective and mindset.
Also those that are actively hunting you will move onto other targets

Gameplay
Get a few ninja's under your belt and get them posted on the forums, get your name out there as a player who knows the game and is no farm, will make others think twice before letting the attacks hit and plant the seeds of doubt.
As this is a pvp game it also has a bit of thinking behind it as you attempt to outwit your opponent

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bashing rule is unlikely to change as it currently allows for moonshots which comes under the completely destroyed attacking fleet section of the rule, it works for most people and for those it doesn't...its an indication that something in their gameplay needs to be altered.

Also if you recieve more than 150 spy mission from a single player it is considered spam and therefore reportable.

Some of this waffle might make sense...if not to you or me it might help someone out there :P

Plus one more:

I've just thought of this one right now, not even sure if it works but there is always a first :P
Get a name change to an ominous one...The Destroyer, DeathBringer, Spectre etc and then have a matching profile image to scare the living daylights out of someone or intimidate them, mixed in with an alliance change, this might be a winner!

It sounds like to me..that you are being attacked without losses..if so..have your friends and Allies..watch
your Planets..and take the Debris..as it appears...also if it is a certain Player or Alliance doing this.. make them Most Wanted..and kill them...or have them killed... if you keep your Fleetpoints hidden..and have a reputation for not parking Fleet..have a good enough Defense to keep raiders away.. then let them crash their ships into you all they want.
It shouldn't be very stressful if you are not being Farmed. Also..not saying you do this.. but 9 out of 10 times such attention is given to a Player... it usually means they ran their Yaps at someone..and now have their undivided attention. A simple message to them saying.. " hey dude..sorry I was such an ***&*%e..I won't do it again." will most likely give you a cease fire..until you open that Yap again.

All good ideas. I have moved to replacing every moon destroyed with a ruby moon.

I have also began my first experiments with ninja moons, not afraid to use them!

I THINK I have a chat level spy in my alliance but I am not sure who that is, always hard to root that out.

I have NAP's with all who are powerful enough to hurt me, which are few and far between as I have the fifth strongest fleet in standard.

The big issue is, since your giving strategic advice, the number one player has 5 times my fleet size, a full 22 million points at full power and dealing with that, is what is stressing.

-

Fundamentally your right, the game in standard has changed a lot, it could be because I am at the top and the top want targets next to them, but right now it isn't fun. I did get a full 15 hours of sleep last night, and it felt AMAZING!!! I'm going to go take my time, and bake something wholesome while I think this over some more.

I just want my casual standard universe to go back to being a casual game I can play, instead if it sucking up all of my time and sleep all of the time. I started playing this because it was a casual, fun game. I am a raider, not a war maker.

Maybe I should go and crash a few fleets, but I would feel bad about doing it because I know how much time it takes to make a fleet. I don't want people to hate me.
