As a result of the other topic entitled debate, we are also interested to gather your opinion on how a universe for Veterans should be configured.

We will collect all your feedback and it will play a role in our future decisions.

My first thought is retirement home, as opposed to high competition zone. Let's talk about admission first.

*1 year on any server + at least one million point account.

I think high res production is a must, so people can get started faster.
Let's go on the lower end for ship speeds ( for the sake of the retirement theme )
No moon pops
Big uni size ( I always favor lots of space to play )
Lot's of planets

Why not. The veterans have ties together already. Cetainly everyone doesn't know everyone, but I'd like to see it play out.

Err I think that everyone should have a chance to play on the big server. It's not really fair to keep new people away if they wanna give it a shot.

Though the 1 million points thing is a nice idea, only a few dozen (is my guess anyway) have over 1 million points on massacre. I'm not sure what the situation is on the other servers.

But here is my wishlist

I want fast ships and more planets most of all. 16 planets with 9 galaxies averages out to 1-2 planets per galaxy.

I want bigger planets. 325 really isn't that big. that's pretty much as high as your getting on massacre. I don't know the situation on other servers. You figure at least 10 fields are going to robot factory. You'll want lots of nanites. You'll need at least 15 research labs. Probably 20-30 solar plants and/or fusion reactors depending on what you like. Most people eventually want metal, crystal, and deut mines to hit like level 15-40 each.

I'd like faster loading times. I just had to wait over five days to load something with fast IRN.

But really anything you guys do to the new universe will be appreciate. I am waiting like a hyper kid waits for Christmas.

SilverRose is 1000% right and some more features like GigaRecycler or EliteRecyler like the beautiful idea about making Elite Cargo so yea few more planets a little more speed i think a server faster then speed will be epic or a merge between the entire servers or something like that ..or a new server with more speed bigger production less research time and so one ...with maybe 499 systems like x-treme and that tutorials that all of us are talking about to be at the beginning for new starters ..

Come on everyone wants that elite recycler. Pretty please? I mean the ec concept has worked beautifully since introduced. I know it probably takes awhile to type in all the codes and stuff to create a ship. But this is one thing most people seem to be agreeing with.

res production speed 100% faster than speed server, building speeds 50% faster then extreme,

6 galaxies 400 systems 16 planets to give close action packed game play, build speeds because everyone knows thats a pain in the arse, and production speeds so the start up is fast, and people can get into their fleeting/ mining/turtling whatever floats there boat, pretty fast.

And Giga-recycler! (<<should be on every UNI in my opinion)

i like it, lets throw in a universe restart too so no 1 account can skyrocket to the top an maintain it(like every other uni)

I've seen the restart thing kicked around a lot. It would be kinda disheartening to be number one and then the next day have zero points. But I guess if you can consistantly pull yourself into the top ten, no one can say it's because you started at the beginning and had a major time advantage on new players. That's the thing about most servers. The newest server massacre came out a little before October, now people have a decent enough lead it would be difficult (but not impossible) to "catch up". Extreme has this problem in an even more extreme fashion.

So, I guess I can see the merit in a reboot every couple months or something...

i was thinking every 6 months as least hha not every 1 or 2...at a max maybe a year?

I like the concept of a resetting universe, would diversify the universe types in ZE,
once every 6/12 month would be interesting and is often enough to keep attracting new players.
What could be incorporated into the uni is a "Global ranking" of the top 100 maybe? which is static throughout the reset,
this means that each cycle the players can always try and get into the top 100 spots of all time.

If this is ruby universe it can become a gold mine
Though without them it would be a true universe for veterans, and does incorporate the ideas of a tournament uni that was thrown around a bit in the game suggestions
