1:.. It IS a vague idea (not to mention the FACT that if you wanted it as a game suggestion you should have posted it under game suggestions)... you give no concept of how anything like this could be accomplished with or without hurting the lower players who need colonies to help them grow. There is no way of being able to tell the difference between colony someone is building to support themselves and one someone is putting up to take out defenses, besides the fact that if they have high enough impulse drive they don't have to put it right next to you to be able to take you down.
2:... I would be more apt to say there is no food for the fleeters because the food has become smarter and most don't just leave their ships sitting behind defenses anymore... they do intelligent things... like...hmmmm ... FLEETSAVE properly.

As for the people viewing the topic, it counts for every time anyone comes in here, I come in this topic sometimes just to reread some of the points. As for them being scared to post because they will be attacked by big fleeters... get a grip, you are out of line on that one. AND to answer a possible question you may have.... nope, I am not a fleeter, nor am I a turtle, nor a miner.... I make it a habit to try to combine my knowledge with a little of all of them.

I have already said it..... I make it a habit to try to combine my knowledge with a little of all of them. You do not have to be just a fleeter, or just a turtle, or just a miner... you may choose to be just one, or you may choose to be a combination ... the combinations can vary which is good for the player, they choose to be whichever they wish. As for the destructions of colonies, when I was setting out my colonies to help myself grow, there were some that I set out quickly because I knew it would be a good spot for me, I sent just enough resources over to start building up my robotics.... so guess what... if you saw that colony you would have thought it was there to take someone down... BUT it wasnt, I just build up robotics first to make it easier on myself. So if destruction of a colony were feasible and you had decided to destroy it just because it looked like a mobile for defense destruction.... you would have found yourself with more than one colony sitting up beside you with the intent to take you down... Thing is, you can not tell what someones intentions are... I have had higher ups set a colony next to me just because it looked like a good spot, or they had found some fleets sitting around that needed crashing... that is part of the charm of the game. I see one pop up next to me, I just keep my meager fleet in fleetsave and greet them with a smile and a wave.

Honestly, I think its bound to happen.

Bellig ISN'T going to see it from the other perspective, hes got tunnel vision. So, we're doomed to argue the same points until the end of time without any sort of gain. Like someone stated before, its like talking to a wall.

I think it should be closed simply because it is pointless to continue and just causes more drama. It serves no purpose.

Agreed. The topic has far outlived its purpose and is now turning into arguements and pointless game suggestions. If Bellig won't learn from his mistakes, so be it.
