#56Bellig... it isn't just the top players or the fleeters that have the capabilities of throwing up a colony and building up ipm's for defense crashing... even the lower players can do it... all you need to do so successfully is a colony ship, some large cargos, some probes.. you find a juicy place within range of the enemy planet and start raiding inactives... or actives if you can... take the resources to the colony and start building. As for the destructions of those colonies..... that is total bs. If that were possible then guess what, all those colonies you put up would be ashes. NOT TO MENTION the fact that having such a thing would make it nearly impossible for a smaller player to grow, because someone is ALWAYS watching, and that someone is not necessarily a top player or fleeter. The minute the lower player slapped up a colony it would go crashing down.
Defenses are a deterent to most, they are in no way a fail safe security system. If you don't want your fleet taken out, don't try to leave them on a planet because you think the defenses there will protect them.... it WONT. There have been quite a few turtle defenses crashed... Kassler, Istalris....
Even in the real world there are predators and there is prey. Why do you think that we learn to adapt? Learn to fleetsave, don't rely on your defenses for fleet protection.
Not to mention that most of those inactives you are seeing didn't even bother to go past a week of playing before they gave up, because either it was not the type of game they thought they were starting, or it IS very boring during the first week of doing nothing but building... and then not knowing where to go after the first bit is very confusing.

#58OK, heres the problem ... if you know theres a big player then you fs repeatedly. Plus, heres the kicker. Lets say that khan put a colony next to yours. You decide "ok, im going to destroy it". ......Whats stopping him from just putting another colony up again... honestly it makes no sense.
