I have thought about it, thought about it and thought about it some more.

This top 20 thing has been really difficult to come to a decision about. Thank you to all the people who voted, and for your enthusiasm on the subject. My final answer however, has to be no. The list will not be expanded.

There are many things that influenced this decision. The main ones of which are the general upkeep of the list. I could list a whole lot more reasons but i won't. Things like this are always limited to the top ten, it is how it always has been. Many of you will not like my choice, you may think certain players are "taking over" the top ten. My advice therefore, would be to stop whining about it and go do something about it.

While i admit a fair few players, in relation to the general active forum community, liked this idea. Not enough people considered explaining why such an expansion was necessary and why it would be better, and so, the votes could not justify the expansion.

My apologies to the people who don't like my decision but the word is final, thank you for your interest and i hope you all understand and respect my choice.

I will leave the topic open for people to discuss, though if any flaming or arguements arise over this i'll close it.

yeah constant maintenance is the main problem. plus top 10 is the norm and looks way cooler then top 20

Always so negative. I thought Ista's hit on Cataraz was going to hold up, but as I went through the posts, the bar kept getting higher and higher. As I said in a previous post in regard to Neo's comments, I did expect most of the names to remain the same. It was my hope and expectation that more names would be added. Flyfoot is one that was added.

We did have 17 responses across Alliance lines and outside of the 3 mods, there was only one NO. Of those 17, only 3 were on the top 10 list. There are few threads in this forum that have generated responses from more posters.

If you had a pollster look at the amount of activity, the typical number of respondents and participating active posters that responded, they would certify this as a valid poll relative to the criteria I just established. There may be many registered users, but few of them are active posters.

I'll be blunt- those that typically respond to the top rated HoFs are either alliance mates, victims, or parasites kissing a higher ranked player's ***.

I don't really give a flying frick about who voted and how many. The supposed Hall of Fame is nothing but an annoying rerun to those of us who frequent the forums often. And as far as opposing votes- who in their right mind would rag on the Great & Wonderful V in an open forum and expect not to get pounded?

Thanks for your faith in me Khan! I didn't expect it to be, just to many others out there, i'm not that much of an active fleet hunter. I'm more of a mass raid the smaller guys and rake it in that way. However, if i do see a big one sitting in my regular galactic scans, why not eh?

I appreciate the fact that a lot of people did express interest in this, but thats just it, they only expressed interest. Nobody, except you maybe, actually explained why they think this would be beneficial.

Well there were certainly a decent share of V that responded. However, the majority were not. If people were afraid of offending either me or V they could have simply responded to Ista or not responded it all. I reject your characterization of the people who voted yes.

Urweirdsaysi is a very pragmatic and diplomatic player. If he thought there would be repercussions for voting no, he would have abstained or PMed Ista.

I can appreciate that you are not a fan of the HOF thread. However, that does not mean that all the people that frequent the forums share your view. I would wholeheartedly support a thread that celebrated excellence for other styles besides fleeting, but there is no realistic metric that could be used that the Score Board does not already capture and for which most players opt out for a reason.
