Re: Fleeter, Miner, or Turtle?

I am pretty much a pure miner. I have only a small raiding fleet, and I like it so much more than when I had a bigger fleet. Fleeters are usually people that raid more, so the get up higher, but if a miner raids as much as a fleeter, and has enough to make small (~100 mil) crashes, I think they would be better off than the fleeter.

Well mining seems to lead to a dead end since example:

UPGRADE TO 36
Metal Mine (Level 35)
Produces metal, the main constituent of buildings, ships and defenses.
Resources Needed : Metal: 87.366.576 Crystal: 21.841.644

production difference: 7.756 (2x x24hrs) = 372.288 a day
This means 234 days to regain the metal that it cost to build it.
..... (insane anyone?)

And well fleeting will end when ure either don't have the deteurium anymore to fleet save.Or that ure nr1 andnoone has the firepower to kill ya.

So be a miner so you can turtle, be a turtle so you can be a fleeter.
Think the fleeter is the endgame for everyone eventually.
(Without building mines you will die once your fleet is killed what will eventually happen since everybody is hunting).
In the zorg universe, if you go to sleep expect to smell napalm in the morning.

Think I disagree there friend, I do lack BIG levels of mines, but I have enough defenses to declare myself safe on each of my planets, I've been a fleeter a long time, and it works as long as you have the know-how and precise timing on where and when to send your fleets.

Just as being a fleeter can be the end-all or downfall, it is also the only way to get to the top. you are considered minimal threat at best if you decide to go the miner route, obviously it's good for other members in your alliance as you can aid them when they need rebuilding, and as a turtle, well no one wil touch you, but you stand no chance outside your own "box". Sure you can gain insane points as a turtle and virtually never lose any due to having a puny fleet, but where does that get you? You would be a valuable asset in an alliance shearly for your points as a turtle, and shearly for your resources as a miner, basically, you are good for boosting your alliance's points and that's it. Once the fleeters have been taken care of in an alliance, that's when the alliance falls, the alliance's threat is void without fleeters. So be a fleeter and suck at it?... yes it WILL be a downfall and a hard one, but be good at it, and you carry your alliance.

You are until my fleets get back, you know how this goes sis. Judging by your current points looks like I'll be up about 30,000 points or so,

interesting how that's the only quote you took from my opinion up there, I make a very good point, you are incredibly valuable to your alliance because you can maintain and grow in points without much fear of losing them, but can you ever take anyone down or defend your team? most likely no, due to a small fleet, you can protect yourself-- but if you werent in an alliance... well... the good thing is you are so well known.

Like I said, fleeters are the only ones who can cause the power-house alliance ultimately to fall, and send their alliance sky-rocketing past them. A turtle can only sit and look pretty point-wise.

An organism living for happiness...
Or a machine fearing death?
A vague exixtence that is betwixt and between, neither here nor there...
Peel back the benign surface to find a festering tumor of greed.
If you do nothing, you will lose nothing. A craven way to live...
If you can really call that life. I, for one, cannot.
What a poor creature.

I am a Miner. Still am. I love it.

I believe if most of your energy comes from Solar Plants or Fusion Reactors, your set to go.

However, I also believe Mining is a step. If your going to play Zorg for.....a long time......you will eventually have to evolve somewhat.

I am a miner to... I LOVE mining... but i also like fleeting maybe a little more than mining... even though i can't keep a fleet for long :?
I have a busy RL schedule with times that change daily so i have trouble FS.

I believe, like eclipse, that mining is a step... it gets you started... it gives you resources to work with later in your ZE carreer.
I believe it is best to work starting as a miner, then evolve into a turtle, turn towards a raider, and then to a fleeter  it give you a good start...

only think i can say about mining is boy do you need a lot of cargos when your saving up for those high level mines...
