Agreed, 10k seems pretty low. BUT, we were all new once, perhaps with exception of the original players who were around at the game's inception, we have all overcome adversities etc. A lot of the then bigger players have left the game or gone into permanent V mode. The natural progression of things is that the then smaller players rise up the rankings, therefore becoming the bigger players. The excuses seem to flow in that they couldn't fleetsave because of this that or the other, but you have to persevere. It's more or less a level playing field for the newcomers, unless they are rich and can afford plenty of rubies, you can't legislate for that. It would be very unfair to give new players an extra amount of leeway, more than current players had. If you fleetsave, you will be, for the most part at least, safe!

I was bored because our war has stalled. So I have been reading the forums. The constant theme that I am seeing as an outsider is that big players want to be able to smash/raid the newer players, but don't want them to leave the game.

here is an idea: just throwing it out there:
what about a building called a vault or, ship harbour or bunker, where you can store a small amount of ships that can't be destroyed by attacks. This probably wouldn't affect the big boys so much, because they are massive, but it might provide a bit of a bridge, or trainer wheels to the noobs (hehehe rhymes with boobs) that you are trying to foster.

I don't really know how that might change the balance of the game, but I see a lot of posts about people 'rage quitting'. this might alleviate some of that, while still keeping the ability of the top ranking players to swing their clubs around.

Just an idea.

and all the new players sit back cry how the old players just want to crash their fleet... its part of the game deal with it. the noohalbs that rage quite do because they think things should be handed to them on a platter. no ones fleet is save everyone is crashing anything they can. so if you really think its just old players trying to pick on the noobs then your stupld. a storage thing wouldn't be all that bad. if one does come out i'm sure its going to make some noobs even more pissed off because they attacked something and didn't get all the fleet. or half the resources. so they are going to quite because this game is glitchy.

trying to think of new things or rules to protect your unwilling *** to learn the game. isn't going to help you.

perhaps fleetsaving could be put in the start-up guide? having a higher protection at 100k does make certain strategies possible, avoiding the bigger players, but it does not protect from other sub-100k players as several on extreme found out. yes the big players want to smash other players, but then you don't need weaker players quitting before becoming a bigger farm?
RL has been a b****. maybe for once I can stay around long enough to make a name for myself...

Any player who hasnt played this game for at least 6 months is a noob.

lets just make that as a noob protection rule and be done with it. Active playtime for 6 months gives a player a player status. Otherwise he or she is still a novice. We have seen all of it ever since this game started. We have experienced players who have been playing this game since 2009 march if not january. compared to that experience 6 month is a very good duration i believe.

so all who are noobs say aye...!!! and the troll king has spoketh!! dare you defy me!!
