I disagree with this, although I quite like eOs' idea. ACS attack is not very hard to code, I know because on an (admittedly even more textbased game than this) that we're running in-university-only, it took us 8 hours to code an ACS attack algorithm that so far works without a single bug from scratch, and we've only been coding 3 months. We need new ships to vary from the thousand clones out there, we need ACS attack, we need promises fulfilled, we debatably need a reset.
On the reset, I know for a fact I will never grow to be the same size as gumppy, regardless of how well I fleetsave and how many guides I read and tactics I learn. Something will come up, and Ill be straight back to square 1. However if there was a reset, I think theres alot of players who'd be able to get alot further in the game, since one slip doesnt mean autodeath. And I fully expect the VVV crew to rise to the top again, and the scoreboard to be very similar to it is now very quickly...but with a closer points gap. I think that the big fleeters can possibly see the point of mixing it up with a reset. It changes from the majority of VVV just getting to bitchslap any fleet they see, they would need to actually compete at a similar level to their opponents. I know myself when Im playing games online, I hate being against raw noobs, or people significantly lower or higher than my skill level. When Im being sodomized in the first 3 minutes of a Company of Heroes map, or vice versa, its not as much fun as when the game is even and we have to battle back and forth around the map before eventually dealing a death blow.

At least improved to 20:1

In such way the fight will be a litle bit more fair.
10:1 point protection all the time? if you mean that its pretty silly... a player like gumppy would only be able to attack about 40 active players
