Few Alliances?

One of the easiest things to help newcomers, is to take them in your alliances. At the moment I type, all top 10 climbers of the week, are ALL without an alliance.

Climber of the week, especially at the end of the week (today) is a good stat to use for recruiting. Fill up with new blood your alliance and help both your alliance and the game.

ZORG, which server would you be referring to?

I do not wish to mention names of alliances or servers personally. But, I recently left my own alliance and applied to a "Newb" alliance, I was accepted. Meaning well, I thought that I could pass on some advice, information etc. The need to fleetsave being paramount. Minimum sizes of worlds to colonise, where to position worlds.

I was with that alliance for two, possibly three days. I kept banging on about the need to fleetsave. I posted the fleetsave guide in their alliance forums. I hit independent players, those who hadn't fleetsaved. I posted the combat reports in their overview. Again, I kept on trying to drum that message in. FLEETSAVE. One player there, all his fleets and resources were still sat when I left.

Only two members seemed at anyway interested in trying to progress. Then it was a little of the case, "If we have time".

Rather than take these new players in to your alliances, perhaps a temporary "secondment" could be the way. Whether it has any effect or not, I don't know. For me doing this in the last couple of days, It doesn't seem so. But this way, these newer players can be relatively independent still, if that's what they choose. They can either learn, or not. The latter seemingly the norm, lol. I am willing, perhaps for a couple of days a week, give a boost to the alliance that will have me (Standard Server). It is also a way of networking, making friends, possibly even securing NAPs with certain individuals.

Hopefully, the two players that I mentioned above, in the alliance I was with for a couple of days, might just have picked something up, learned something. The entries I made in their alliance forums, it's still relative, even though I'm not there.
