I agree to an extent with both the above points... so yes to storage dens, but make them expensive or set a ceiling so it is difficult to cover all your res that way.
When is all this gonna happen, btw?
Re: Proposed Massacre Reform
#22it wont happen in speed only in Mass. hence the name "Proposed Massacre Reform", anything for the other servers will take 6 months to a year.
Re: Proposed Massacre Reform
#23When is this ment to happen.. I've heard many things such as it was ment to happen a month ago, it will happen in 6 months..., the admins can be bothered and it will never happen.
Could someone please clarify when it will happen???

Re: Proposed Massacre Reform
#24I finbd this topic really helpful for developers so far. Keep your ideas coming.
How about an improved map or an extra map? Where you can visually track your fleets heading towards target.
At one hand we want MOSTLY veterans in ZE and this is why we keep the old skin. At another hand, veterans burn out eventually so we also need new blood. This universe should be newbie friendly so eye candies will be mandatory.

Re: Proposed Massacre Reform
#25Still any idea on a timeframe:? We very much look forward to it being implemented, and it would, really revitalize the server
Re: Proposed Massacre Reform
#26whats this noise *pfff* *pfewww* *pfff* *pfewww* , oh wait that is me not holding my breath
glad to see reform is always present in this game, it would be a shame if it were to get neglected in a pivotal time of player decline ( wether admitted or not ) , so keep up the good work

#27You should all respect... they give Spy a hard time but in reality I think Zorg is the master at trolling, just check out this poster that he made
A lot of talk but when it comes right down to it devoid of anything useful

Re: Proposed Massacre Reform
#28I can, to a degree, agree with the need to make things easier for newer players coming in to the game. However, we all had to start somewhere and isn't it a bit unfair on us? I would propose a new server. Perhaps a new "nursery server"? You start there, get to a certain point, then graduate to a server of your choice? Still have the newb protection to a certain level, once you have graduated. YOu get to a certain score, graduate, and are given options as to which server you would like to join. Hopefully, if those players have got to that point, once they graduate, they won't instantly become inactives.
Re: Proposed Massacre Reform
#29Now oz that is a great idea but when they come over the speeds could be different and their farms will be gone also....or are you talking about like just building res and go off of that....also if you have he xtreme size map in the new one then if they want to go to say standard and they have a planet at say 3:499 where is that planet gonna go...it is a great idea and it will take work I think you zorg admins can do it!! Make the game alive again I am looking forward to what will come:)
Re: Proposed Massacre Reform
#30Thanks for the support Night Hawk, but I never suggested it was a foolproof idea, lol. If there was a graduation point, ie. 10k score, that isn't a lot of points in any server. That is not a lot of worlds, mines, fleet, defences etc. To transfer that across to another server would not really change much for that player to any noticeable degree. So, from the point of view of having a colony at 499 in one server, only 250 systems per galaxy in Standard is probably "getaroundable", hey, new word!! A nursery server could be set to a limit of say 125 systems per galaxy. When you then choose a server of choice after graduation, then it would perhaps send you to a random vacant slot based roughly on where you were in the nursery server?
Also, for any "newb", the choice of servers is theirs. As long as they know what each server entails in play, then it is their choice. Once they have graduated, newb protection could be brought in to line across the board. So instead of 100k points newb protection in Xtreme, 10k in Standard and so on, it could be 50k for all. If those said newbs then go inactive, there are temporary farms for us all. A 50k point inactive farm, however temporary until the next "cull" of inactives would make the game better to. At least they would be producing stuff in the short term for us all to feed off.
