I'm gonna have to say no to this, it would unbalance the game. Think about it like this: a top fleeter zeroes in on your fleet, and you jump your fleet to a different location 5 minutes before the hit. Now say the attacker is watching your fleet movements, then they could just change their fleet's destination before it hits to chase your fleet. It would turn the game into a giant, endless group game of cat and mouse.

of course deut on board would be considered. example: you leave your home in your car. you have a full tank of fuel that will carry you 400 miles. your planned destination is 359 miles away. you travel 287 miles when you get a call. you are needed elsewhere. you can travel 113 miles further. your new destination is 162 miles away from your current location. you must tell the caller that you are unable to change your destination as you don't have the fuel needed to get there. a second caller asks you to divert to a location only 100 miles from you. you divert and arrive at the location with 13 miles worth of fuel left and still you have not made your original destination. has no one ever changed their destination mid-trip? really? does the military not divert convoys as needed? i think the biggest issue would be the pain of coding. besides, this is a "wish" list not game suggestion. please don't burst our bubble. my daughter asked for a pony for christmas. hell no she didn't get a pony but she still wants one and imagines what it would be like to have one. her eyes glaze over and i know in her minds eye she is spending her day with that pony of her dreams. my eyes are glazed and my fleet has changed destination to arrive where i realize i need it more. (we need a 'starstruck' smilie)
