I have to say, I agree with Spy on this. The Standard Universe is for those who don't have much time to put into it. Now, I've been V-mode there for some time, but I plan to come out when the Generals round ends. The reason I am there, is because that way I have a second Universe to play in, one that I don't have to worry so much about. In X, I've built up a massive pool of res, but it takes a lot to move it, and I have to move it often, or someone will get it. Standard is different. Yeah, I might have to move my res all the time to keep it safe, but I have a much better chance of doing so, because fleets are so slow, I can pretty much leave, eat a meal, come back, and still spot the incoming attack. In X, Speed, and especially Generals, I can't do that, because two to five minute raids are possible. In Generals, unless they send a RIP, two, maybe three minute raids are average, and less-than-a-minute raids are possible as well. So Standard is a less stressful server. Yeah, production is slow, but it happens.
