Perhaps then, a solution might be to make inactives produce only half resources? I don't know if that's possible to do or not.
It would keep raiding as a playstyle, while making it less imbalanced. New players would still be able to get ahead, but after a time there would be an incentive to branch out into a different style as the payouts aren't quite as good. Raiding inactives would remain part of the game, but the focus would be elsewhere.
Re: Inactive Cleaning Resumed - Discussion
#12i too am an inactive raider. i have been devistated by this purging of inactives (or so i thought). then i started searching and found that i can manage with the lessened resources as long as i scramble to find targets. i will recover because i know there will be inactives abounding before long. Personally, i think the inactive purging should be an annual thing. which is what i thought it was because i havent been playing long enough to have been through it before. that is my thoughts on the subject...annual purging, minus those ruby laden.

Although it fixes the issue of the entire fleeting populous focusing only on inactives, they main issue would still be that there are far too many. It clutters the server and makes the server unnecessarily work harder. This is a good thought though - maybe we can grab some ideas from it.

#14i suggest to delete all players under 5k points
and leave the others for longer ..
coz it will kill small players more than big players
and they will see that the game is empty ...

#15The idea of inactives producing less resources isn't incompatible with the idea of removing inactives less than a set number of points. Between the two I think all major concerns are taken care of.Lightning wrote:WheatGrinder wrote:Perhaps then, a solution might be to make inactives produce only half resources? Re: Inactive Cleaning Resumed - Discussion
#16Well, I can say my guild has been less active since the change but a few of them are starting to get wind back in their sails now. If we are lucky we may be able to farm two thirds of what we used to. Hopefully that will increase in time.
Re: Inactive Cleaning Resumed - Discussion
#17I haven't experienced any negativity from this. Still plenty of targets out there and - oh my - maybe players can start attacking other players again and bring a little more life back to the game. Really, not such a big deal. Yeah I raided inactives but always preferred to go after the live ones. More inactives will come in time I am sure. Just how the game goes - not everyone will stick it out - but I whole-heartily approve. It's been long overdue.

Dont fear death welcome it...
Re: Inactive Cleaning Resumed - Discussion
#19I have noticed that there are a lot of zero point actives that popped up. Were these actually new accounts or did admins make them to fill space?
Re: Inactive Cleaning Resumed - Discussion
#20admins would not make them to fill space that makes no sence
