In case you were not aware, Intel has discovered a potential issue in some of its early constructed chipsets that came along with the 2nd generation corei processors.
If you bought the computer before January 9, you are probably affected.
If you have a laptop, you should basically not worry. If you are overly anxious, you can return it under warranty (Personally, I fall in this category and I ignored it). More info about it here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13924_3-20030070-64.html
If you have a deskop, I recommend you change it 100%. Even if the probability is exceptionally low, it is better to change it.
In between Jan 6 and Feb 9 it is extremely difficult to have bought a system as most providers have stopped selling them due to the issue.
If you bought it after Feb 9, it is all fine as in these machines the problem is fixed.
