Currently, what strikes my fancy is the so-called 'Hungarian Suicide Song' - Gloomy Sunday

Performed by Paul Robeson, Diamanda Galas, Sinead O'Connor, Marianne Faithful, Billie Holliday, Elvis Costello, the Dead Milkmen and more - I have not heard a cover performance of Rezső Seress' 1932 composition that I have not absolutely loved.
