How does the transport work

I filled up a whole large cargo with equal amounts of all three, but when it arrived on my other planet the res didn't show up, and when it came to the origin planet I didn't get them back. What happened? :?:

That explains another reason why a jump gate would be usefull...so if you want to send cargos to long distances you need to have a jump gate or you wont get anything over:/

Hmm...i see...and i hope there isnt anything that allows such a mistake to happen. Such as letting you store resources on the ships and press send^^ That would not be nice if all your resources vaporize^^
