What does the research "Expedition Technology"? it changes what ships?

It doesn't change your ships it simply enables them to be sent on expeditions which are basically a gamble with risk of losing your ships or gaining new ones and finding a nice pile of resources.

this means that research enhances the collection of resources? and what do you mean by "avoid the loss of ships" did not understand that part?

No. An Expedition is a separate fleet mission. You send your ships to planet slot 16 for an hour or two in hopes of gaining more ships or resources. It's a gamble, however, because your fleet could be sucked into a blackhole and thus lost.

ah get it ......... cool .......... I can send any ship for this expedition? and the higher the level of research, the greater the likelihood of success of the trip?

Higher tech only increases how many fleets you can have on Expedition at one time. And as a side note: you can't find RIPS (Death Stars) so don't risk sending any.

Expeditions are useless. Don't bother risking your ships unless you are leaving and have nothing better to do with them.

I am amazed that it took seven posts before someone mentioned that expeditions are useless. But because everything is more believable when confirmed by someone, expeditions are useless!

not really, in ma noob days i found BS 235 BS , 1 ina million chance of that happening, and a 1 in a trillion chance it will happen again, but its all onluck, i got lucky:)

Would be a lulz thing to do before someone quitting, packing up an entire fleet and expedition lol
