well i have been playing this game for a day or two and it's taking me a while to learn everything. how do points work? how do i check how many points i have?

Points are just something used to rank players in Zorg. In the Xtreme Universe, for every 5,000 resources spent, you earn one point. In the Standard Universe, you earn one point for every 1,000 resources spent. Everything you can build (mines, defenses, ships) and research can give you points. Research points can never be lost. Building points can only be lost if you, yourself, destroy the buidlng level. Fleet points are lost when your fleet is off the ground, or your ships are destroyed. Defense points are lost when they are destroyed, but 70% of defenses remain after battle.

You can find your current points at the bottom of the overview screen, along with your rank. To see where you stand against the world, click "Ranking" in the left hand menu.
