What's the point in increasing, let's say, ion technology
beyond level 5 (up to level 5 it's needed for other techs).
Does it have any impact on ion cannons attack capacity?

You kinda wish it would give you more damage to ion cannon and to any ships that have ion weapons. They would have to twich combat so that ship a has laser damage only but ship be might have ion and laser damage so they get double bonus. They still need to fix combat anyway so why not add the damage type of ship. I mean they have engines type why not add 1 to all 3 damage type of damage. I mean the DS should have all 4 sence it has laser cannons for defence weapons on smaller ship.

Yeah, ion tech should be able to be upgraded and cause more damage.

Please don't gravedig a thread like this. It would be better to just make a new one if it's this old and short. ~KM
