Does Debris field dwindle by itself over time or it stays until someone salvages it? My debris field dwindled over time. It couldve been due to another player salvaging it also...

Unless the server is reset the debris field will retain the same quantity of resources as when it was created. The only way that it can be diminished is when it is recovered by recyclers.
