I have gone into vacation mode and have my fleet in the air. I have been told that this is rule breaking by a high ranking player, as we are in middle of a game of cat and mouse and im about to phalanxed later tonight. I do not think they are lying, but it is my entire fleet about to be destroyed unless they mess up timing (dont think they will), so difficult to trust your attacker.
Please advise I will only listen to one of the high ranking players/moderators. I am not gonna cheat so if my attacker is correct I will come back out. I have read the rules and there is no mention of vacation mode dos and do nots.

There is nothing you need to know regarding this issue. Whatever you must not do is hard coded and the game will not let you do it.

I think you cannot go into vacation if there is a fleet attacking you but even if you could go into vacation, the attack would hit as normal.

This is completely unacceptable. when you spend (x) amount of time getting somebody to slip up so they recall their fleet on phalanx and you have to wait a certain amount of time before an attack then they SHOULD NOT be able to go into vacation mode!!!

If you have to turn off the production of all mines just to enter vacation mode then you certainly shouldn't be able to do it whith your fleet in the air.

This makes that part of a phalanx attack completely useless and seems a bit lame to be honest!

I think this should not be able to happen and should be corrected.

I completely agree. All you have to is fleetsave for several hours, if you get lanxed - recall and go into Vacation mode. I don't know how difficult this is to change, but it would require making it impossible to go into Vacation mode with fleet in the air.

To be honest, barring an emergency situation, most players are well aware ahead of time when they will need to go into vacation mode.

As long as the attacking fleet were not already launched at you then you are safe from attack. You can not be attacked in vacation mode unless someone was already launched against you when you went into it... then that attack would hit as a normal attack. You are not breaking any rules with your fleet in the air. So the player that told you that you were breaking a rule because you were able to go into vacation mode while your fleet were in the air may wish to take that up with higher ups if he feels it is wrong, but there is no RULE on it.

I also feel that those wanting to have this changed should start a different thread under game suggestions regarding it.

I agree now that this is not a rule in the game with regards to vacation mode. . . . but I do believe it to be something that should not be allowed, as I stated previous I put him in the position of no retreat so I could take him down and then he just goes and runs off into vacation mode!

In my opinion I believe that if possible this issue should corrected. Its takes a fair bit of effort to hunt someone on phalanx and lure them into a trap, im sure some of you guys will appreciate this fact.

I will respect the final word of admin but I am no quite put out by all this as I have now made a loss on a hit that was a dead certainty.

when you phalanxed me at the end of my fleet save the reason i recalled my fleet is actually cos i knew was gonna lose i thought i will recall at last second hoping my defenses could take a few of your ships down to maybe get a moon on that planet my defenses were useless though
i knew you would just phalanx me on way back and was gonna lose fleet either way at least i get two chances at moon
it was later on i had idea of goin into vacation mode
it is more than likely you are going to get my fleet eventually but you are first person to attack me i reckon ive done quite well to avoid someone as good as you...... for now that is!
