ive plaved the game for a few days but, i can't figur out how to build a moon base ? do i need a special ship or somthing ?

You need a moon first. The only way to get a moon is to be attacked and have a very large debris field generated.

A lot more than 2000. One of my friends got a debris field of 500k metal and 350k crystal, that gave a 9% chance of generating a moon.

Copied from another source: Any time a large battle occurs leaving more than 100k debris behind, the owner of the planet where the battle took place receives a moonshot, and if lucky, a moon. Each 100k debris gives a 1% chance of producing a moon, up to a maximum of a 20% chance with 2,000,000 debris.

One of my friends got a moon from slightly over 100k of each resource. Something like 126,736 of metal, it was similar for the the others but abit less.
